While radio shock jock Howard Stern claims to be "The King of All Media," the Almighty Oprah Winfrey is the closet thing to true media dominance --with successful interests in television, magazine publishing and satellite radio.
But whatever anyone may think about those two media moguls, there may be a need to make room for the prince.
Not the prince of England... the musical genius Prince.
According to The Artist Formerly Known As The Artist's camp, the media shy music maestro is reportedly currently in talks with several Las Vegas publishers, piquing interests with his concept '3121 Magazine.'
"[It] will feature interviews with musicians and exclusive photos taken by Prince," a statement announced. "Currently on location shooting publicity shots for a new singer he is working with, Prince will be back in Vegas to ring in the new year at 3121."
Oh yeah, that's also the name of his new weekly nightclub gig at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas -- and his latest platinum selling opus.
The statement continued: "When Prince is not bringing down da' house at 3121 on Friday and Saturday nights, he is busy pursuing his current hobby, photography and it appears that his work is quite extraordinary -- capturing private candid shots with the same air of his unique jam sessions. '3121' Magazine would provide the perfect outlet to showcase his photos."
I wonder if the magazine --if it sees the light of day -- will be all done up in purple.

That's true! He has been media mogul for some time now. It's just that the rest of the world is finding out. His true fanbase will tell you that. I'm a lifetime NPGMC member, I've been to 2 of the celebrations at Paisley Park. I downloaded my share of membership songs and videos. I bought merchandise on his website, cologne, shirts caps, jewelry. I even have a copies of his "Controversy" magazine. Remember that one? See, this is not new for us (true fans). We've follow him all the way. Don't misunderstand me, THANK YOU for writing this article on Prince. He deserves it and much more. The more you write about Prince the more you'll be successful. Success breeds success.

It would be great to see the magizine and more of "his" talents displayed.
I've just came in from Europe to bring in the New Year with George Clinton in DC (Great Show) and to go to 3121 this weekend.

hey there i would defo subscribe to this mag...love it...Prince is someone who will be successful at anything he does...i am just hoping he makes more films...he has brilliant comic timing and presence...just needs a killer script

U r and will always be the "Mac Daddy" of music! I would love to c your work in your own magazine AGAIN. I still have old issues of the NPG ones. When can we get copies n the mail? I need something beautiful to look at and interesting to read.
