Last week's report from 'The Hollywood Reporter' that hip-pop music wunderkind Kanye West was doing a reality show on HBO caused a bit of a stir.
So much so that the multiple Grammy Award winning rapper issued a statement via his record label spokesperson Gaybe Tesoriero:
Kanye West has confirmed recent reports that he is in the early stages of production on a television series - a collaboration with acclaimed producer/director Larry Charles - but adamantly states the project is not a "reality show."
"I wouldn't do something as cliché as a reality show," said West. "At least give me the credit for being more creative than that."
TAKE THAT KEYSHIA COLE!!!
"For the last couple of years, Larry, Rick and I have been developing this pilot," the statement continued. "It's a situational half-hour comedy. It's fictional, and loosely based on my life. Maybe this will give me the opportunity to spazz out at the Emmys one day."
Stay tuned for more on Kanye West...
Well alrighty then.
Thanks for clearing that up.
