The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Science may have conveniently omitted Beyonce Knowles as a songwriter for the Academy Award nominated song "Listen," but she's still getting credit from another prestigious awards organization.
The bootylicious beauty, starring as Deena Jones in the big movie adaptation of 'Dreamgirls,' recently received the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) Critic's Choice Award for Best Song for the song.
Additionally, 'Dreamgirls - Music From the Motion Picture," the official soundtrack for the film, released by Music World Music/Sony Urban Music/Columbia/Sony Music Soundtrax, also received the BFCA Critics' Choice Award for Best Soundtrack.
The winners were revealed at the 12th annual Critics' Choice Awards.
"Music World Music is thrilled Beyonce and the 'Dreamgirls' soundtrack have been honored by such a prestigious organization as the Broadcast Film Critics Association," Mathew Knowles said. "The highly anticipated soundtrack is making chart-topping history and it features the great talent of Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, Eddie Murphy, Anika Noni Rose, and we are excited to see that everyone's hard work is being recognized in all areas."
Founded in 1995, the Broadcast Film Critics Association is the largest film critic's organization in the United States and Canada, representing 199 television, radio and online critics.

Beyonce, Beyonce, Beyonce... The world is finally looking beyond your apple bottom. If anyone could have played the part of Ms. Ross with vigor, was You My Dear, which is why I was so disappointing that you came up real… short... Cause lord knows you have had plenty of practice.
Could it have been that there wasn't enough angle shots of your bottom half to get you over this time? Hummm… Sista if you did not learn anything from this project you should have at least learned one thing, and that one thing should have been...The art of jacking over people will eventually disappoint you.
You have had ample opportunity to make solid decision, which you could have, and didn't....Case in point: as it was continually shown through the destruction of Destiny's Child over the years only to make room for Um wa....
Pay back is hard but well deserved... It’s not over by a long shot... And by understanding that! Accept the path in which you have chosen a long time ago, or you will repeat the Old Pimp and Whore mentality your parents have continually shown time after time...
And it’s said that you do have a sister, the public have not seen them (your parents) push her down the peoples throat the way they have selected you to be the chosen one... Apples don’t fall too far from the tree... be careful my dear... Your sister may be the very one who may have to spoon feed you someday or Maybe Latoya from the first union.
Ya think?
Ms. B stop trying to pull a J.Lo it didn’t work for her, and her hair is real.
Beyonce keep the faith, and walk lightly for you get what you give eventually in life.
Peace

I mean what is that? she has blue contacts, collagen in her lips an obvious nose job and a BLONDE not honey BLONDE weave. She looks like Rupaul! But I guess it's OK cause she been to jail and she is "keeping it real" right?

It's so amazing how people is up here, trying to make this a popularity contest, the fact of the matter is, they noth are very talented, and you can't take nothing from either of them, However I see a lot of females hating on Beyonce why? is it because she's everything your not? Lets face it..you can't be the judge to someone if your not on there level, maybe you should try to accomplish something of your own instead of hating on Beyonce...I mean it's really getting old, and to be honest what you all think of her is not going to stop her from being who she is...go fgind your own idenity

Wow, why must this be a contest between Beyonce and Jennifer. Like Beyonce, Jennifer's talent was not going to be denied. Jennifer had the "role of a lifetime", the same role that propelled Jennifer Holliday to stardom. Beyonce played the pretty girl in the play and played it very well.
Stop the madness. Are sisters are doing fine. When was the last time a black-themed show got the most Oscar nominations???? I will ask again..WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME A BLACK-THEMED SHOW RECEIVED THE MOST OSCAR NOMINATIONS?
Let's see: two African American coaches in the Super Bowl, an African American woman tennis player absolutely embarrassed the number one player in the world. An African American just won his seventh tour championship in a row. (and yes, Tiger is an African-American, at least in this country regardless of what he says).
i think we are kicking butt and taking names. But let it flow. Stop the hating on these two incredible women; lift them up,up, up, and by doing so, yourselves.
Everybody say Amen.

I've been trying to figure out where and when Beyonce' did or said something that was so objectionable to cause the very mention of her name to be something to be reviled. Being successful seems to be the only thing that I've seen that Beyonce' has done. I haven't heard or read where she spoke anything negative about Jennifer Hudson or anyone else. She is never really able to be herself because everything she does or doesn't do gets scrutinized. All African Americans should support any African American who is successful. Matthew Knowles does what any father should do, and that's take care of his children. Should he be hated for being a "FATHER." For years in the music industry African Americans were taken advantage of. Matthew Knowles changed that for his daughter, not his client. Beyonce' I know you probably don't pay attention to these blogs, and you shouldn't, but just know that everybody doesn't hate you and your father. Keep your head up and keep doing what you do!!!
