"Everyone wanted me for that role except the director... But it wasn't for me. I tried really hard. But I can't even be mad. That role was for Jennifer Hudson. I feel like I was meant to win 'American Idol.' And I feel like J was meant to play the Effie role."
-- Fantasia Barrino on losing the 'Dreamgirls' role to Academy Award nominee Jennifer Hudson (Vibe Vixen).

Fantasia is the finest thang 2 ever walk the face of the earth. I don't know what the deal is with her babydaddy, he lost a diamond. Fantasia give yo boy a call @ (870)535-2156 or (870)329-9590. I promise you'll never have 2 worry about heartache again.

Fantasia I think you have one beautiful voice. I have watched you sing a number of times and each time you have nailed it. You and Jennifer are two different people so don't let anyone lump the two of you in the same category. Both of you are great in your own way.

Congratulations to both women ( Jennifer and Fantasia). It is wonderful to see young black women aspire to their dreams and try to encourage others. Keep up the good works.... and being modest in your clothing is just as important as to what you are singing.

I believe both women are very talented. What God has for you it's for you. People always put other in competition with each other and against each other. A lot of well known actresses try out for different roles and don't get them. Most of the time you don't hear about that. I'm sure you've heard the saying, if you can't think of anything positive to say, don't say anything at all. Everyone has a profession, and Jennifer and Fantasia's just happen to be actresses. This is how they feed themselves.

God has a plan for all of us, sometimes the path that we choose for ourselves is not where God wants us to be. Sometimes we have to learn to accept what God has planned for us, and open our eyes to where he wants us to be in life. Fantasia, didn't get the Dream Girls role, but she was blessed with winning American Idol. Who do you know that has everything they want? I'm happy that things have worked out for them both. They were blessed to be a blessing for each other, what didn't work out for one worked out for the other.
I'm so sure that everyone who commented on fantasia's dissability all graduated with a 4.0. This is something that she is obviously not proud of. I don't that people should condemn her for this, she has reached her dreams dispite what afflicted her all these years. Not too many people could have, or would have the courage to try let alone suceed. Maybe she has be blessed to make us all aware that illiteracy does still exist.
My hat goes out to both these women. We should be able to congatulate more and condemn less. Ladies keep your heads up, you both are doing a wonderful job.
There is nothing wrong with the video or the song that Fantasia made, I personally enjoyed both. I'm glad that Fantasia is exploring other things and not getting stuck in one category. We all know how your fans will love you one minute and hate you the next. I'm glade that she is smart enough to expand her audience. I know that I don't listen to one type of music. I also don't think that because she made a song that you can dance to that this makes her a hoodrat. I have never seen Fantasia in anything that made her look like she was "trikin". I think that you maybe a little jealous of her, and the fact that she has a shape that allows her to dress very stylish and hip.

Both of these women have their own talents and future to secure. I feel they are going in the right directions and both have a great future. I am very happy for both of the women to have such great opportunities to show their talents. Not many black women had the chances like they have now, such as the older actresses and singers in the 20's up until the 60's. Fantasia was the right pick for American Idol winner and Jennifer was the right pick for Dream Girls role. So let's give each woman their props and stop the hating and thinking one lady is better than the other. Let support our black actors, actresses and singers. I just hope they both stay grounded and not let stardom go to their heads which could ruin their futures.
