"'I've been called a bitch - and a lot worse - for years. And you know what, so what? People who think that aren't going to change their minds. And I wouldn't dream of sending them to therapy to 'rehabilitate' their feelings. How absurd. Please, I call all my gay friends 'big fags'."
-- Oscar Award nominated screen siren Sharon Stone regarding 'Grey's Anatomy' star Isaiah Washington's widely reported "entry into Rehabilitation" over homophobic slurs. (New York Post)

Calling names. Sounds all a little childish all around.

Isaiah would not have called a Jewish person a Kike, an Italian a Wop, and would have been extremely upset if someone called him a Nigger..so why does he think it is ok to call a gay person a Fag... there is definitely a double standard going on here. Sharon Stone's comment is irrelevant... she said that she calls all of her "friends" who are gay "big fags"... that is because they have a close friendly relationship (I assume), but I'm sure she would be the first to come to their defense if someone else called them a Fag - as a hostile act. I'm sure she can see the difference. The Rehab thing...what's that all about?

I understand that some people may have been offended but people all over make the wrong or right statments and everyone jumps all over them. I mean it was only a joke and I am tired of people getting so upset over nonsense when there is so much going on in this world. One word or statement should not make such a big Hoopla.

How come it's ok for Michael Richards to call a black man the "n" word, but not ok for Isaiah to call his co-worker a 'fag'...(I know it's OK, because Mr Richards performed there the VERY NEXT NIGHT)! Let's face it, everyone is prejudiced to a certain extent, EVERYONE! And, if you say you are not, you are either GOD or lying..... with that said...EVERYONE is prejudiced. He could have just said what most politicians say in this case...."it was taken out of context"...

I would pray everyone thats keeping up with this story will learn from it as well as Isaiah. I pray that he is serious when he says he sorry because theres no excuse but there has to be forgiveness as other have been doing for years. Talking about this man job I never seen anyone fired for saying something unappropiate and they never came immediately afterwards and said Im sorry give the man a chance we all do ignorant things sometimes

I don't think that Isaiah thought it was ok to call him the "f" word so I don't know where that is coming from, but I do think that he does need some anger management classes, because I feel that the part that he plays, which is such a arrogant person really spills over into real life. There is so much more going on in this world than to be bothered or continue to be bothered with something like this. He apologized I don't know whether Mr. knight excepted the apology, but can't people just put this behind now?. Mr Washington is in rehab and hopefully He will get the help he needs.

STOP WITH ALL THE BULL, YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO BE GAY ANYWAY, AND PEOPLE CALL OTHER PEOPLE NAMES ALL THE TIME.. THIS IS NOT A BIG ENOUGH REASON FOR ALL THIS ATTENTION ,I'M SURE THAT PERSON HAS BEEN CALLED ALOT WORSE, JUST HAVE ISAIAH APOLOGIZE AND LEAVE THIS ALONE,FIND SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT TO FOCUS ON, LIKE HELPING THE POOR AND NEEDY,& CLEANING OUT YOUR OWN CLOSETS..ETC... ETC...

I think that being homosexual is different than being an ethnic group... in fact I think homosexuality is a FAKE ethnic group... no one knows anyone's sexual orientation unless they want everyone to know! I am african american and I dont have that option!
so I think it is TOTALLY unfair to equate the way someone choses to have sex and their racial make up or religious beliefs!

what I think is wrong is that the cast were told and agreed to handle the situation privately. The person in question who was called the slur broke that promise and went on a television show and thus blew this all out of proportion. I don't think a person's job should be threatened for something that was said to one person. Rosie O'Donnel routinely insults many folks and she is still on television. Just because it was a Black person we now want to send him to therapy. How about we send all the racist folks to therapy, I would love to get paid for that one.

T.R. KNIGHT OPENLY ADMITS HIS GAY/ALTERNATIVE LIFESTYLE. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HIS RELEVANT ROLE IN GREY'S ANATOMY. HE DEPICTS THE CONSTANT WHINNY PUSS WHO HAS YET PERPETRATED ONE MEDICAL PROCEDURE. AS STEVIE WONDER ELOQUENTLY STATES, "WHAT'S THE FUSS?"
