No telling how this year's Academy Award race will go -- but Will Smith definitely delivers in 'The Pursuit of Happyness,' the real-life rags to riches story of San Francisco salesman Chris Gardener.
The critically acclaimed movie, directed by Gabriele Muccino, will be available on DVD format on March 27 via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
The film stars Smith, along with Thandie Newton and his real-life son, Jaden Smith, making his motion-picture debut. To date, 'Pursuit' has grossed over $145 million at the box office and Smith's performance was nominated for an Oscar, Golden Globe, a SAG award, an NAACP Image award, a Black Reel award and a Broadcast Film Critics Association award.
Jaden has been nominated as Breakout Star by Black Reel, Best Young Actor by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, and Best Supporting Actor by the NAACP Image Awards, who also recognized Newton with a supporting-actress nomination.
The DVD will be loaded with bonus materials including the featurettes 'Father and Son: On Screen and Off,' a look at real life father and son; 'The Man Behind the Movie: A Conversation with Chris Gardner,' 'Making Pursuit: An Italian Take on the American Dream'; 'Inside Rubik's Cube'; an audio commentary with Muccino; and the 'I Can' song.

i am so glad it is. i knew when i saw the previews of it at the movie theatre i knew then this was going to be a special movie. to me this is will smiths best work and his son is so adorable he is a natural with parents like jada and will how could he not be.

I saw that movie it was the bomb. Man it was very, very touching i cried and cried it was one of his best movie yet. Thank so much for making that movie. It is so real. Will he really did capture my attention on this one.
