Fashion designer Edwing D'Angelo has the support of R&B diva Patti LaBelle in the unveiling of his Fall 2007 collection.Patti LaBelle, who has always been one of the more fashion forward divas in the music business, will be gracing The Big Apple with a special appearance as Olympus Spring Fashion Week comes to a close.

The Grammy Award winning R&B pioneer will serve as hostess for 'Midnight Rain,' a special fashion event taking place at New York's historic Tilden Mansion on Feb. 8 and celebrating the latest collection of renowned Afro-Latino designer Edwing D'Angelo.

Over the years, the Colombia born D'Angelo has designed for the likes of LaBelle, Vivica A. Fox, Wynona Judd, Mo'Nique, and hip-hop artists Nelly, and Sean Paul. His classic floral dress is in a hot fashion scene from 'The Devil Wears Prada' and other looks will be featured in the indie flick 'Dirty Laundry.'

He was also the custom designer for the Super Bowl XL Pepsi commercial, Reebok uses D'Angelo's creative ability to re-designed its sportswear for hip-hop violinist Miri Ben-Ari, in her 'I AM' campaign.

According to publicist Keith Forest, invited guests for the soiree will include R&B veteran Freddie Jackson, 'American Idol' finalist Paris Bennett, reggaeton artist Don Omar, restaurateur B Smith, former male supermodel Tyson Beckford and cast members from HBO's 'The Wire.'
