"Not to toot my own horn but a lot of girl singers black and white are starting to sound like me. Honestly, I did hear myself in that Beyoncé song, but I didn't get mad. I figured influencing others is a part of my purpose as an artist."
-- Grammy Award nominated hip-hop soul artist Kelis on her influence on Beyonce. (Uptown)

I honestly don't feel that she's all that great in the first place. I never did. If somebody wants to imitate a singer the last person it should be is her. She's pretty but as far as singing goes she's on Whitney (Back in The Day). Oh yeah ! The last time I checked those OOO's and Moans she makes on the Wack Azz Ford Commercial don't count as singing. I don't like Beyonce' but she is the better singer.......

Is Kelis delusional or what. She is at the bottom of the female singer list as far as I'm concerned. Nas should stop pumping her head up.

Tell me she did not say that! It's the other way around, actually. She started sounding like other female singers, she got her one hit song and that was the end of that.

When Kelis..sang, "I hate you so much right Now".
You could see her passion about addressing rumors and issue in a relationship? Beyonce also did some of that on her new Cd..Kelis may have a point...
Not only did her milk-shake, bring all us boys to the yard..She looked good being bossy???

HOW SOON WE HAVE FORGOTTEN KELIS'S "I HATE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW SONG". BEYONCE'S "RING THE ALARM-CAN'T LET YOU GO SHOUTS" ARE CLEARLY "INSPIRED" BY KELIS. IN FACT THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THE SONG, I REFERED TO IT AS ".THE BOOTLEG KELIS JOINT". ONE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A VOCAL VIRTUOSO TO INFLUENCE THE WORK OF OTHERS.

Kelis needs to sit her behind down somewhere (Preferably at a seat in the hair dresser) and get that hair of hers fixed!!! She walkin around lookin like a Golden Girl and has the nerve to talk about shes influencing people... Who influenced that disaster of a hairstyle she is rockin???

I like both of them and i think beyonce is a multi talented person but to be honest i think if she was to stop shaking and showing so much she wouldnt get as much attention as she does.she is beautiful with a great body but she is getting older and thats not going to be cute for to much longer.she needs to try a more conservative image.and for MRS.JONES obviously she really feels that way or she wouldnt of said it.
