Multi-platinum-selling neo-soul crooner John Legend is hitting the road this spring -- and he's taking acclaimed newcomer Corrine Bailey Rae along for the ride.
The multi-platinum Grammy-winning recording artist (who scored two trophies at last night's ceremony) will kick off his new North American tour on April 3 in Irvine California, according to his publicist Yvette Noel-Schure. The month-long trek will wrap up in Crescent City on May 5, with a solo show as part of New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. (Full itinerary listed below)
Not even considering the notion of a sophomore slump, Legend's second major label release 'Once Again,' peaked at #1 on the R&B charts upon release last October, and quickly achieved RIAA platinum certification. The set spurred two Grammy nominations: Best Male Pop Vocal Performance (for "Save Room") and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance (for "Heaven").
Legend (legally known as John Stephens) also picked up a third Grammy nomination in the Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals category (for 'Family Affair,' with British soul singer Joss Stone -- a track from 'Different Strokes by Different Folks,' a Sly & the Family Stone tribute album). The two latter tracks won Grammys last night.

I love John Legend and Corrine Bailey Rae. When they sing together, it is like slow lovemaking. They are two of the most sensuous singers I've heard in a long time. Marvin Gaye and Tammy Tyrell were sexy, but there is something different about these two. Legend and Rae ride each other, if you know what I mean.Maybe they have a relationship, I don't know, but the music between them is slow, erotic, Grover Washington saxaphone sensuous. Pure sexy. And from my point of view, you can't beat that!.

John Legend!!! I cant wait. I have had the pleasure of meeting John Legend at two of his concerts and that was the icing on the cake. Whenever you can, check him out and support his music. Call your radio stations and I ask them to play his music.
You won't regret it.
Signing off
