Today, 'Black Enterprise' magazine unveiled its 2007 list of the Top 50 Power Brokers in Hollywood, and topping the list is The Almighty O a.k.a. Oprah Winfrey.
Through her Chicago-based Harpo Productions Inc., the billionaire media mogul produces her top rated daily talk show, along with 'Dr. Phil' and 'The Rachael Ray Show.'
Winfrey, who is the co-founder of Oxygen Media -- which operates a cable television network that reaches 69 million U.S. households -- has also helmed made-for-television movies such as 'Their Eyes Were Watching God,' and 'The Women of Brewster Place.'
As an actress, she starred in 'The Color Purple,' which netted her an Academy Award nomination, 'Native Son' and the Jonathan Demme-directed 1998 spectacle 'Beloved.'
Two-time Academy Award nominee and box-office superstar Will Smith graces the cover of the magazine with his business partner James Lassiter. The 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' star, co-owner of Hollywood production company Overbrook Entertainment, ranks at number 3.
Time Warner chief Richard D. Parsons is Number 2, and basketball legend turned business tycoon Earvin "Magic" Johnson comes in fourth.
According to spokesperson Andrew Wadium, the groundbreaking black business magazine's news editor Nicole M. Richardson and an editorial team contacted industry insiders, movie studios, and television networks, reviewed box office sales and television ratings reports to compile the list.
Although boldfaced names such as Spike Lee, Queen Latifah,, Ice Cube, Tyler Perry, Forest Whitaker and Tyra Banks made the listing, African American corporate executives, agents, lawyers, and entrepreneurs -- who broker some of the industry's biggest deals -- also made the roster.
The March issue of 'Black Enterprise' is due to arrive on stands Feb. 21.

Hooray to every last one of them. I'm so so proud to be an African American who has known the struggle that they had to go through. This truly is an honor for me to be alive to see my people begin to bloom finally.

It is so good to see such positive role models in the Kingdom of God: Normal people doing extraordinary things.
Oprah is an excellent example of how to overcome, survive and prosper in the face of abuse and great adversity. Congratulations to all!

This is great news! However, don't forget those civil rights leaders that have gone before Oprah and Will that have made it possible for these great Americans to have a platform to achieve the pursuit of happiness.
We all have the opportunity to achieve great things, stay focused on the "Secret" we attract into our lives what we speak, think about, and act on.
The Bible says that "Life and Death is in the power of the Tongue".
Oprah stated yesterday on her program that the question she asks herself most times is "How can I be of Service to others." "Not how can I become Rich."
God Bless you all on your Journey!

All of the persons mentioned above are doing great things and continually "Paying It Forward". That is why they will never lack and continue in their success. A great lesson for all of us to do the same in our own little worlds. Let's make "Success", whatever it means for each of us, an epidemic in the Black Community and celebrate each other daily.

Hard work, confidence in her abilities which God has given her along with the opportunities so that she could make a difference in the lives of others she has done so.Added to this is the fact that Oprah is operating from that willingness to use her gift, in my opinion, has allowed Oprah to be way out front, on the issues that are dear to her heart. Graet work Lady O"
