White hot actor Djimon Honsou will bare his all -- almost -- as the new face (and body) of Calvin Klein Underwear. The two time Academy Award nominee will be featured in an international Fall 2007 campaign.Djimon Honsou has one more thing in common with his fellow Oscar category nominee Mark Wahlberg.

The tall, dark and always chiseled thespian will strip down to his skivvies and be the new face -- well, body -- of Calvin Klein Underwear.

Honsou will be featured in a global print and outdoor campaign supporting the launch of Calvin Klein, Inc.'s latest product line, Calvin Klein Steel.

The Fall 2007 campaign, which will be shot in March or early April, will appear internationally in more than 20 countries.

The African born actor, who has always revealed his physique -- as a model, dancing in music videos such as Janet Jackson's 'Love Will Never Do Without You'; and in films such as 'Amistad,' 'Gladiator' and most recently 'Blood Diamond' -- should be a nice fit for this campaign.

Hounsou is the ninth man to be featured in a Calvin Klein Underwear campaign and the first actor in over a decade.

The coveted campaign, originally shot by late fashion photographer Herb Ritts, made Wahlberg a household name, and an international icon in the early 1990s.

"We are energized by the prospect of working with a talent such as Djimon Hounsou," Calvin Klein Underwear chief creative officer Bob Mazzoli said in an interview yesterday.

"Together we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Calvin Klein Underwear and yet another ground-breaking international product launch, Calvin Klein Steel, in Fall 2007."

Is the world ready to see an original black man nearly baring his all for mass consumption?

Maybe.

Former male supermodel Tyson Beckford caused a stir in the fashion industry when he was chosen as the face of the Ralph Lauren's Polo brand in the early 1990s.

Honsou was recently nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in last year's drama 'Blood Diamond.' In 2004, he garnered a nomination for his work in the film 'In America.'
