HOORAY FOR TYRA!!!
After eight seasons -- or cycles -- of her wildly popular reality show 'America's Next Top Model,' public interest has not waned.
At all.
Even going up against the ratings juggernaut also known as 'American Idol,' Banks and her beauty shop still could hold its own.
According to overnight ratings, the show netted a total of 5.4 million viewers.
That is the highest-rated premiere episode of the show's target demo of adults between the ages of 18-34, says a network rep.
From the looks of it, this show is going to go on and on and on and on.
Wonder what the 'Top Model' creators Ken Mok and Tyra Banks will come up with in a few years to keep it fresh?
How about "America's Former Top Model" Using the formula that VH1 has turned into paydirt: "Celebreality" and get the models from the old days and make them work and sweat on the comeback trail?
The self-proclaimed "world's first supermodel" Janice Dickinson couldn't have been the only one snorting cocaine at Studio 54 and screwing her way through the 1980s (as she wrote about her best-selling memoir 'No Lifeguard on Duty').
And look how well she turned out, as of late -- with her own show, 'The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency,' on The Oxygen Network.
Just an idea.

I LOVE NEXT TOP MODLE, I REALLY LOVE MS J AMD MR. JAY, IT'S LIKE I HAVE KNOWEN THE SINCE THE FIRST SHOW.
BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? I UNDERSTAND THERE'S A WT. LIMIT AND AGE LIMIT. BUT WHAT ABOUT WEMON OVER 40 AND LOOK DAME GOOD, COULD THAT BE A FURTURE SHOW? I JUST CAN SEE THIS SHOW LAST A LONG TIME.YES I'M OVER 40.
TYRA, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

I just wanna say that I don't like Tyra, I am not a fan I love the fact that she started casting big girls after people were callin her fat. And I hate how she is so stuck on how Naomi treated her--I'm like get over it obviously the girl doesnt like her. And lets face it Tyra is getting outta shape, there is nothing wrong with being big b/c im no size 2. Tyra was never a skinny model but she was FIT and looked in shape, but she doesnt even look fit now, Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce, Tacorra are all thick and beautiful girls and have curves, u dont hear people talkin about there weight b/c they look fit and havent let themselves go like she did. I think she should get over it and SHUT UP!!!

I tihnk Tyra is doing a great thing with her show it's hot. And she keeps the show fresh they do different things all the time she's never even repeated a photo shoot. It's so creative, it gives us that behind the scenes effect to the modeling world. To prove it's not just about taking "Pretty" pictures in fact you don't even have to be pretty you just have to have that "Look".
even the people who aren't on the show learn things becuase now when i look at pictures i don't just think that's cute or that's not, i can actually cretique it.
Anyway Tyra came up with a great idea, with a great concept and it will bring her success for a long time to come. :)
