Is Tyra Banks addicted to the camera?
Already super-successful with 'America's Next Top Model' and her daily eponymous gabfest, the former supermodel turned TV mogul is now ready to roll out another show.
She recently revealed to 'Vanity Fair' magazine that a new reality show, titled 'The Glamorous Life' is in development, centering on what happens to a 'Top Model' loser after she goes back to her "obscure life."
"It's a really funny idea," said Banks agent Nancy Josephson.
Apparently the "funny idea" came into play once the former Victoria's Secret model realized that she was getting too close for comfort with the show's cast-offs.
"Sometimes on 'Top Model' we wrap at three o'clock in the morning and then I'd have to wait for her to go to the hotel room, pack her bags," Banks revealed. "I would talk to her for an hour and hold her hand and give her advice."
"Then, after a while, my people told me, 'Tyra, you can't do this. We have therapists here that are doing this, you know. You can't. And I was like, OK! I have to detach myself and I've detached myself a lot in order to survive."
When asked why she thinks she was spending so much time with the girls, Banks -- who is executive producer of 'Top Model' -- responded, "It's like I have to make sure she's OK."
"I felt like I created this show, I plucked this girl out of her obscure life and put her here, and it's my responsibility to make sure that she's successful."
Oh, ok.

TO POST 138- oN THE NEW CYCLE THERE'S A GIRL WHO THE JUDGES SAY LOOK LIKE TYRA..SO BASICALLY WENEVER SHE'S JUDGING THAT GIRL TYRA BRINGS UP HOW SHE DOESNT THINK THEY LOOK LIKE(PERSONALLY I THINK THEY DO)

i think personally think Tyra needs to be a lil more down to earth, i thought sshe was. she needs to have more girls from N.Y. on her show she always have girls from L.A. on her show, I agree wit Jermain who also left a comment, Tyra has east coast issues and i havent seen n e girl thats the least bit prettier than she and with real hair win or really be on her show 4 long.

its an ingenious venture,you put into question,
self reliance, staying positive, and rising from the
ashes,you get to see the true value of self worth and
commitment to one's dreams and the aspiration within
you, the show could be an inspiration to all those who have setbacks in their lives and choose to begin again

I'd really like to see what some of you would do were you to be in Tyra's position?
Is she perfect? No.
Is she narcissistic? Probably. Theres' a certain amount of that necessary to survive and/or make it in the modeling world.
Is she promoting negativity? Heck No. She is stepping forward to tackle the body image situation that exists in this country and while she's at it, she's creating opportunities so that the next generation of models of color will have more of a fighting chance than she did.

First off give her credit for trying to accomplish more than just being a pretty face. The funny thing is that she could give a damn about what you think of her because you know what while your siting home hating shes drinking cristal and jet setting the globe. it is always easier to look outside myself than to look within myself and see how miserable i am becasue in all actuality i want what someone else has or feel that i deserve. get a life and stop drinking haterade.
