Is Tyra Banks addicted to the camera?
Already super-successful with 'America's Next Top Model' and her daily eponymous gabfest, the former supermodel turned TV mogul is now ready to roll out another show.
She recently revealed to 'Vanity Fair' magazine that a new reality show, titled 'The Glamorous Life' is in development, centering on what happens to a 'Top Model' loser after she goes back to her "obscure life."
"It's a really funny idea," said Banks agent Nancy Josephson.
Apparently the "funny idea" came into play once the former Victoria's Secret model realized that she was getting too close for comfort with the show's cast-offs.
"Sometimes on 'Top Model' we wrap at three o'clock in the morning and then I'd have to wait for her to go to the hotel room, pack her bags," Banks revealed. "I would talk to her for an hour and hold her hand and give her advice."
"Then, after a while, my people told me, 'Tyra, you can't do this. We have therapists here that are doing this, you know. You can't. And I was like, OK! I have to detach myself and I've detached myself a lot in order to survive."
When asked why she thinks she was spending so much time with the girls, Banks -- who is executive producer of 'Top Model' -- responded, "It's like I have to make sure she's OK."
"I felt like I created this show, I plucked this girl out of her obscure life and put her here, and it's my responsibility to make sure that she's successful."
Oh, ok.

first of all i would like to respectfully say that each and every one of you who are negetively commenting on tyra and what shes doing, you are just miserable in your own lives because you only wish you were half as succesfull as she is. instead of putting her down you should be ecstatic that our world today is diverse and open enough for ANY women whether shes black white or purple to be on tv, and modeling and doing whatsoever her heart desires. this is 2007 and everybody should be past all that "shes to black, or shes to light." GROW UP!!! and do what you can to improve your own lives and make your own money.

GOD BLESS THE CHILD! WHERE'S THE LOVE FOR THE SISTER GOD KNOWS WE DON'T NEED MORE ANTAGONISTS! THERE ARE ENOUGH FOLKS IN AMERICA WHO HATE BLACK FOLKS LET'S NOT HATE OURSELVES. ESPECIALLY THOSE OF US WHO ARE ACTUALLY TRYING TO PRESENT POSITIVE IMAGES OF BLACK PEOPLE IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA. PEACE. DREWMASTER

At the end of her life God will measure who she is to others, kindness and generosity. If her life is all about her self, that is death and death will not enter heaver, only in Christ

I think everyone here who is bashing Tyra is jealous or simply dingo! I am a middle class or below white female and I love to watch Tyra. She carries herself with Dignity and Confidence. A confident Black woman who struggle(s) to get what she has and will get! True it's much easier now, than before since she's made a mark for herself, but she knows what its like. If she was so darn self righteous as some of you portray her as, she would do half the things she does to help the people she does. She wants to continue after other Black men and women pave the way for the next young black man or woman. But not just black, but all skinny, fat, young, old, whatever. She just has a passion for black, whether they be pretty or ugly! So stop hating, and if you don't like her, then don't watch her. Why do people have to continue to bash other people???

Your a person who is being marketed for the upper people desires more money not you, there only using you. So who is it that we are seeing, that which is being marketed or your character. Most in Hollywood sell themselves to get on top. As Oprah and the big things she has donem being at the top the things that she has done is mostly for herself. All Girls school; where's the boys school. that is bogus.

Girls, girls, girls! What is the BIG BEEF? Evaearybody is entiltled to their opinion, even if it is STUPID!
If you don't like the show, don't watch it. It's that simple. Tyra, girl, whatever you've been doing, keep doing. I love all your shows. And if you come out with another one, I love it too.
