Star Jones Reynolds has landed another gig.
This go round, the former co-host of ABC's 'The View' will play herself in the star-studded season finale of NBC's 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.'
The episode, titled "Screwed" -- airing May 22 at 10 p.m. ET/PT -- will be a follow-up to last season's acclaimed episode starring hip-hop superstar Chris "Ludacris" Bridges.
The 'Crash' star reprises his role as Darius Parker, the step-son of Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola (played by Ice-T) and son of Teresa Randall (played by guest star LisaGay Hamilton), who is on trial -- a year later -- for the brutal murder of a woman and her baby. Darius is back to settle a score with his family and is now represented by defense attorney, who is a former police officer, who has an incredible record for getting his clients cleared.
"It's so cool to be returning to work with the Law & Order: SVU family," Bridges said. "My first experience was so great and I am honored that they have asked me to return for the season finale. Once again, the amazing script and the talented cast immediately made me accept their offer. I look forward to reprising my role on the show and giving the audience a big bang finale that they will never forget!"
Although Jones Reynolds, a former prosecutor and lawyer, has become a household name since joining 'The View' in 1997, this 'Law & Order' appearance marks her acting debut.
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, is my favorite show on television, I have never missed an episode since its premiere," she said. "When I was asked to appear on the show I immediately accepted the honor without hesitation. I am very excited to work alongside the incredibly talented cast and crew ... as well as the brilliant Dick Wolf."
Court TV personality Nancy Grace will also appear in the episode, along with Steven Weber, Ernest Waddell, Vincent Spano, Judith Light, and Michael Weston.

I have watched Law & Order, Suv for many years and the epsiode with Luda was by far the best I have ever seen. His passion and conviction in the role was outstanding. I was so pleased and wished that the emmy's would have recognized his work with a nomination in their guest starring role catagory. Luda, I can not wait until the the finale. Keep doing what ur doing and they will have to come hard for your number one spot.

I knew Star Jones would land on her feet(I will continue to support her in whatever she decides to do). But I was a tab bit concerned about how well she would land. Cause Barbara Walters has alot of juice...and you know they didn't part on great terms. A former Assistant Prosecutor should NEVER have to eat government cheese.
WOW!!! Do they still have that program? Crooked arse grocers was busted selling the same government issued cheese the (PO) folks were given.
You go to the grocery store to get a hero (samich)...and darn if those fools don't put the exact same cheese on your hero...that you gotz at home in your fridge. All because Johnny sold his government issued cheese for some Columbian issued smack.
I'm also a fan of SUV. I remember that episode with Chris Bridges aka Ludacris. The season final with him and Star Jones is gonna be a great episode.

I don't care to watch Star on any show. She thinks she is bigger then life. She obviously wasn't liked by her co-hosts on the View.
I enjoy watching Law and Order but that is one episode I won't be seeing.

I am really disappointed. I was hoping that phoney Star Jones would just go away. She lost all her credibility and my respect when she lied and turned out to be so superficial.

I am a fan of the SVU show but am not a fan of the SUV show as the other two cooments have stated.
I hope Star does well in this episode.
I do think that as a former assistant prosecutor, she should know the definition of Integrity and Ethics. Both of which were not practiced when she started to accept things or services for her wedding if she mentioned the vendors names on The View.
As for her announcement of leaving The View. She drew first blood as a prosecutor should do but it was not a good exit interview on her part. Maybe she forgot where she came from and some humble thanks to be on The View. It's all about ratings.
If she was so in demand, she'd have more offers to do things and we'd be seeing her all of the time.
15 minutes of fame are so hard to give up.

I love SVU, but I've never liked Star. She is all self. It is so apparent. Hopefully her past year of hitting the churches have shown her that it's not all about HER.

What used to be my favorite show will be no more as long as that B**** will be on. There was a reason for firing her from the View! Producers, get a grip and don't hire her. I'm not the only one that can't stand her. Go back into your fridge where you belong Starr (yuck) Jones, you are a loser. By the way people it's SVU as in Special Victims Unit? Not SUV the kind of car, DUH!!!!

I wonder, Lori, in just what way Star Jones lied? I have great esteem for her. She was treated shabbily on The View. Sure, she was over the top, but when their ratings were up because of it, they loved it. Same with Rosie. Their ratings are up, so they don't care who she insults. When people get tired of her, as they will, and the ratings go down they will try to rein her in. Star Jones is an extremely talented woman, knows the law inside and out, and will be terrific on her new show on Court TV. I never watch Court TV. I will when her show comes on.

Star Jones is the BIGGEST horse's behind on tv. After she lied on the View and put on such airs, we hoped she was gone forever. That woman is a JOKE.
