Star Jones Reynolds has landed another gig.
This go round, the former co-host of ABC's 'The View' will play herself in the star-studded season finale of NBC's 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.'
The episode, titled "Screwed" -- airing May 22 at 10 p.m. ET/PT -- will be a follow-up to last season's acclaimed episode starring hip-hop superstar Chris "Ludacris" Bridges.
The 'Crash' star reprises his role as Darius Parker, the step-son of Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola (played by Ice-T) and son of Teresa Randall (played by guest star LisaGay Hamilton), who is on trial -- a year later -- for the brutal murder of a woman and her baby. Darius is back to settle a score with his family and is now represented by defense attorney, who is a former police officer, who has an incredible record for getting his clients cleared.
"It's so cool to be returning to work with the Law & Order: SVU family," Bridges said. "My first experience was so great and I am honored that they have asked me to return for the season finale. Once again, the amazing script and the talented cast immediately made me accept their offer. I look forward to reprising my role on the show and giving the audience a big bang finale that they will never forget!"
Although Jones Reynolds, a former prosecutor and lawyer, has become a household name since joining 'The View' in 1997, this 'Law & Order' appearance marks her acting debut.
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, is my favorite show on television, I have never missed an episode since its premiere," she said. "When I was asked to appear on the show I immediately accepted the honor without hesitation. I am very excited to work alongside the incredibly talented cast and crew ... as well as the brilliant Dick Wolf."
Court TV personality Nancy Grace will also appear in the episode, along with Steven Weber, Ernest Waddell, Vincent Spano, Judith Light, and Michael Weston.

I expected more from Star Jones as a former professional Attorney. I believe that her "over the top" garbage about her wedding, bla, bla, bla, was extremely juvenile and braggart. She is not T.V. worthy and should go back to practicing law!

Why are they saying her debut? Star was a guest on Soul Food the series as an attorney. She was in a movie where she played a talk show host. She has acted before and was great at it. Please stop hating on this woman. She is an intelligent woman who one upped Barbara and lived to tell about it. I am proud that she is back. I am glad that she laid low for a while and let Rosie make a fool out of herself and now she is coming back with dignity. And although I do not watch Law & Order, I did see the episode with Ludacris and he was Emmy worthy. I am glad that they are doing a follow up.

Congratulations to Mrs. Jones-Reynolds. I guess we know now who the big liar is. If not, ask The Donald. I have always been a "Star" fan and will continue to be so. I am proud that she is a leader and not a follower. I have already programmed my DVR for "her" show.

I AM SO GLAD THAT I WILL BE SEEING STAR JONES BACK ON TELEVISION. I USED TO WATCH THE VIEW EVERY DAY JUST TO SEE WHAT OUTFITS STAR WOULD BE WEARING AND HOW HER HAIR WOULD BE STYLE. I ALSO THINK THAT SHE IS A SMART PERSON. I KNOW THAT THE RATING DIDN'T DROP BECAUSE OF HER. IT WAS ONLY BECAUSE THEY WANTED ROSIE ON THE VIEW.
