Well hot damn.
Almost a year after plans were shelved to release her anticipated solo sophomore opus, Music World/Columbia Records has announced that Kelly Rowland has a new date underway.
Titled 'Miss Kelly,' the set is scheduled to arrive in stores June 26 and feature collaborations with platinum-plated hip-hop superstars Snoop Dogg and Eve.
'Like This' (featuring Eve) has already garnered a listening audience of five million across the country, a label rep confirmed. The track is officially slated to impact Urban/Rhythm radio March 27 and Top 40 April 17.
The Snoop collaboration is titled 'Ghetto,' and is on deck to be the second single to bow from the set.
"I have put my heart and soul into this record," Rowland, who recently served as a guest host of 'The View.' "I am excited that everyone will hear it. I am completely exposed. It's the real me."
'Ms. Kelly' is the long-awaited follow-up to the Destiny's Child gold-selling 2002 debut, 'Simply Deep,' which peaked at #3 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Album chart, and included the smash hit, 'Dilemma,' (a duet with the rapper Nelly). Earning the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, the Patti LaBelle-sampled song spent 10 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100.

I always liked Kelly Rowland, every since she came out as Destiny's Child Writings On The Walls!!!!...So I give Kelly Rowlands Great Recognition for what she's doing I love You Kelly and I Wish You The Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

vickie carebare, I could just hug you. now Ive been a fan of DC, but not just one specific group member. And I have to agree with dee, I saw that Oscar performance and was not moved by it. If every member of a recording group sounded the same, what exactly would they bring to the table? Kelly is very talented and her sound is good. DC is a real life dream girls, I mean, dont get me wrong; Kelly is no where near ugly and was never the "front woman" but we all know being that bey's pops was gon put her up front to make her the "star." and Anastacia, you say if it wasn't for Dilemma, the Patti LaBelle "ripoff" as u called it, she wouldnt have been good, then it's only fair to say the same thing for Crazy in Luv, Jay-Z made that song. and then she had the nerve to come back with her sophomore project with another Jay-Z collabo. and winning grammys doesnt equate to your being able to sing. theres enough money for everyone in the Business, let them get it how they live

Go Kelly! i got the 1st album and love it. now i'm expecting the 2nd and i know that i'll love that also. and there's nothing wrong with the way Kelly looks. although there's this image that all black women are "thick" or "got meat on their bones," that's not true. kelly looks naturally slim. and i know that naturally slim people exist because my family is naturally slim.

i like kelly alot but were we listinin to the same group cause you know kelly wasn`t the best singer in the group but i do think she sounds like beyonce alittle

I think Kelly is very talented & hasn't gotten the help or the attention she deserves. She has been a good sport about the success of Bey. Now it is her time to shine. She can sing & has what it takes. I'm an older women & liked Kelly from the very beginning. Now she needs to stop trying to be so skinny & do her thing. Good luck & God Bless You!!

I think Kelly is very talented & hasn't gooten the he;p or the attention she deserves. She can sing & has what it takes. I'm an older women & liked Kelly from the very beginning. Now she needs to stop trying to be so skinny & do her thing. I think she should also fire Mr. Knowles he doesn't have her best interest at heart. Good luck & God Bless You Kelly!!

SO OBVIOUSLY.. EVERYONE HAD AN APPORTUNITY TO LISTEN TO EITHER SAMPLES OF SOME OR ALL OF HER SONGS BEFORE MAKING THE PURCHASE.
THEREFORE, I REALLY DON'T UNDERTAND WHAT ALL THE NEGATIVITY IS ABOUT.
IN MY PERSONAL OPINION.. THE ALBUM WAS GOOD.

i think Kelly is amazing and has a beatiful voice and on the record beyonce only has two albums not three and they aren't even good. You can't compare Kelly to hollering beyonce. I loved kelly's first album i listened to it all the time. with beyonce you always know what she is singing about she doesn't change her style with kelly you never know what to expect. i say kelly keep doing your thing

i think kelly is a great singer she should not be compared to beyonce they are totally different singers, and she has the looks and the talent to take her along way. good luck to her from now and forever.
