I think Dallas Austin is trying to destroy me.
The super-producer and his latest antics have sent my nerves into a frenzy today.
The Grammy Award winning studio wiz -- who has produced top-notch industry notables such as Boyz II Men, Michael Jackson, Joi, TLC, Madonna, Aretha Franklin, Janet Jackson and Gwen Stefani, among others over the past 15 years -- has always been known to let the kids have it from time to time, but I was not prepared for the wrath that he has unleashed on rising British soul superstar Joss Stone.
In a profanity laced rant -- made available on YouTube.com (of all places) -- the Columbus, Georgia born hit-maker let the cat out of the bag about how blue-eyed soul singers, namely Stone, provided sexual favors in exchange for production work on their music projects.
Ewwwwwwwwwwww.
"I work with more women than anybody in the music industry and no you don't f@#% all the women," Austin explained in the videoclip, recorded in a dimly lit recording studio. "Joss Stone, all these b@#$%es wanna f@#% for tracks."
"You go in the studio with the regular girls, the Ciaras and all of them want to get their work done," he continued. "The Joss Stone s@#% is stupid s@#%. It ain't my problem that her and [hip-hop producer] Novel were f@#%ing and then she goes out and f@#%s Raphael Saadiq."
"They go out and lie in the interviews. Christina was doing the same thing in the interviews. F@#% all them b@#$%es f@#%ing for tracks."
No one really knows what brought on this salacious and libelous tirade, but it has sent shockwaves across the music industry today.
"Airing out your s@#% like a mad b@#$% in interviews that's not sexy and that's not cool," he said.
A rep for Austin was not reachable by deadline today. The clips were suspiciously removed from YouTube late this afternoon, once hip-hop Web sites and black gossip blogs started re-publishing them.
I'm sure it will pop up elsewhere -- that's the beauty of the Internet.
So stay tuned.
Ironically, Virgin Records will release Stone's third opus on March 20 -- the eagerly anticipated 'Introducing Joss Stone.' The 14-track set has Saadiq listed as its lead producer and features collaborations with Lauryn Hill, Common and Diane Warren.
The album's colorful packaging includes a very revealing photo of Stone in a naked embrace with Saadiq -- the former frontman of Tony! Toni! Tone! and another in-demand hit-maker who has crafted songs for Mary J. Blige, Kelis, D'Angelo, Mos Def, John Legend and Earth Wind & Fire, among others.
What a way to say thank you, huh?
"Novel was told that Joss wanted to re-do the songs they did together with Raphael but she still has two or three songs with him on the first place," Austin continued. "I had nothing to do with her f@#%ing Novel to get her tracks. B@#$% get your s@#% together that's how I look at it."
I guess a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
A rep for Stone did not respond to The BV Newswire by deadline.
Austin, who fathered a son with TLC beauty Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas ten years ago, was at the center of an international drug scandal when he was jailed in Dubai last year. According to published reports, he was traveling to the Arab hotspot to attend Naomi Campbell's three-day birthday party at the Burj Al Arab hotel when he was detained at Dubai International Airport on May 19.
According to 'The New York Times,' Austin, who was pardoned in July, had the help of some high-level power players such as Utah Republican Senator Orrin Hatch, music legends Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones, and a fleet of well-connected businessmen and lawyers who vouched for his character.
Now that he's been sprung, there is no holds barred.
Austin recently produced Natalie Cole's critically acclaimed covers album 'Leavin' and has plans to work on Whitney Houston's forthcoming "big comeback project."
This moment lends itself for me to write something fierce here, but I'll opt to maintain my grace.
Much!!!

Seems like the fact the subject is White women, riles a lot of folks - particularly Sisters who are chiming in with the usual hate. Many of you, are your own worst enemy when it comes to attracting (and keeping) these Black men you claim are being "taken" by White women.First of all- nobody can be "taken" from anybody - the "takee" has to want to go - and the "taker" must be doing something to make the trip worthwhile. If Black women would stop yapping amd bitchin' and moanin' 24/7, and take notes - they'd know what White women already do - that a man - be he white, black, green...want's a woman to be a woman - not a chastizer, not a mother-figure -not some order barking Drill Seargent on his back night and day. Black women today are so busy trying to be large and in charge, that they think it works in their personal lives as it does at the office....Not! White women are more than happy to let their man BE the man as long as he treats them good, and takes care of business. They don't meet him at the door yippin' and yappin' about crap that can wait for another time - they don't beat him over the head with every little mistep he might make - and call them freaks all you want - but they will do the things in bed that make a man wanna drive 100 mph gettin' home everyday. Too many sisters see it as "nasty" and "degrading" and all the other excuses they give - which is rediculous - It IS you and your man, after all. So save the rollin' eyes next time you see that HAPPY brother, with the vanilla doll on his arm....She's just doing what you won't do, and doin' the hell out of it.

A woman with pipes like Joss, doesn't have to sleep with anybody to get her stuff out here! The girl can blow- point blank. Any reputable producer would be lucky to work with her and be credited with the resulting blow-up.Do you really believe her handlers would allow her to self destruct like this? She has nowhere to go but up - but only if she keeps her wits and good people around her. If she doesn't fall victim to this kind of character attack, or drugs, or the many other pitfalls that derail good careers - sh'll be just fine, and around for a long, long time. A lot of this same crap was put out about another blue-eyed songbird - and those of us over 40, know who - but look at her career - it's stronger now than ever- even than when SHE was doing Rick. And people seem to forget - this has been going on for decades in the film industry, in the business world, and in the music biz - SO WHAT! We live in a "I do for you - You do for me" world! You judges out here would do the same-if not worse to advance your career and become rich and famous, so climb down off the Moral High Horse, and get a life....and a grip!!!

Dallas is real corny for coming out like that...I think he should be trying to repair his damaged reputation....The only thing I remember about him is that he STOLE someone's movie idea and presented it as drumline.
He has some serious character flaws and should be ashamed of himself for disrespecting these young women...
However you act in public or privately is a testament to your upbringing and your parents, parenting skills. He needs to shut up and just make some music...and stop making his parents look so bad.

You know I have to be honest. I happen to enjoy J. Stones Music, so I cant be critical on that format. I also dont happen to get in to what these people do to make it to the top. We all have done things distasteful, and some of us still are. Race shouldnt be an issue nor should whos poken whom. Now, we also know that 99% of what we read on the net, media, and see on the news is untrue and the remaining 1% is a lie. So, lets not jump to fast about whos taggin whos A$$
