I know they say people in Hollywood are flaky but this story can be a clear example of folks kicking you when you're down.
Question: Is Simon Cowell considering Brandy Norwood a liability?
Answer: It appears so.
The sharp-tongued, fashion challenged 'American Idol' judge is reportedly putting the kibosh on what many thought would be a good look for the former pop superstar.
Until the fatal car crash took place -- at the hands of the 'Moesha' star -- last December, she seemed to be on the comeback trail after being dropped by her longtime label Atlantic Records.
When cast as one of the judges of the ambitious 'American Idol' - inspired talent competition 'America's Got Talent,' which aired last summer on NBC, it provided a great mainstream primetime opportunity for Norwood.
Cowell is the creator and the executive producer of the show, which also featured Regis Philbin as its host, and David Hasselhoff as one of its judges.
Yesterday, 'The New York Post' reported that Sharon Osbourne may replace Norwood on the second season of the show.
Osbourne, the wife of heavy metal star Ozzy Osbourne and reality show superstar, is reportedly in talks with producers to take over the gig. Known as a friend of Cowell's, the fellow Brit also appears as a judge on his hit UK talent show, 'X-Factor.'
Though Norwood has yet to be prosecuted for the Dec. 30 death of Awatef Aboudihaj on the Los Angeles highway, she continues to be embroiled in inescapable negative media attention.

I thing everyone needs to raise up off of Joy. She was only speaking her mind dam. Maybe she did go a little too far with all the sleeping partners but this is America, the land of the free and the brave. How does everyone know Brandy didn't sleep with all these people either? Anyway, I'm sure she didn't mean to kill anybody and I know her conscious is killing her but can you imagine what her parents must be going through with Brandy and her misfortune and Ray J and his video being released? God bless them all!!!!

Brandy hasn't gone to court as yet. Why not wait to see what her punishment is before we become so critical against her. Many individuals have had auto accidents.

Its a shame that she's going through this crisis in her life & all im reading about is her 'sex life'. PLEASE grow up people. Its none of you're business and you all kno it. Lets try to be open-minded about this & support her during this time in her life.

Haven't she suffered enough! LEAVE HER ALONE!!!!When Matthew Brodwrick drove his car and killed someone because he was drunk he was let go! I pray the same for Brandy, her situation was truly an accident. Please don't gloat over someone else's misfortune, it's not right!

I don't believe you should kick a good woman when she is going through a rough time! Nobody is perfect because we are still on Earth! I will keep Brandy in my prayers and the truth shall set the world to see- her pain was not intentionally! Forgive and you are forgiven...she will pay and fine and do some time to make it right. I will still stand by her side, amen!!

I think Simon did brandy a favor: that show will not give brandy a comeback: Maybe she should take out the time and seek the Lord and get her spiritual life together. God may just have a plan for brandy. All of those people that can not forgive her and the media should stop throwing stones and get a life.
