Just in case you were wondering what all the hoopla was about with Forest Whitaker's Oscar winning turn as notorious African dictator Idi Amin, you can see it for yourself -- as many times as you want.
The BV Newswire has learned today that the critically acclaimed film, 'The Last King of Scotland,' will make its home video debut April 17 via Fox Home Entertainment.
Based on Giles Foden's award-winning debut novel of the same name and featuring -- what the 'Wall Street Journal' called "one of the greatest performances of modern movie history" -- features Whitaker as the charismatic, yet psychopathic Ugandan dictator.
Based on chilling, actual events, the Kevin MacDonald-directed film also features notable performances by James McAvoy, Gillian Anderson and he beautiful Kerry Washington.
The DVD features will include audio commentary by MacDonald, seven deleted scenes with optional director commentary, a "Capturing Idi Amin" documentary, a Forest Whitaker featurette and more.
Available in both full screen and widescreen versions, 'Last King' will be available for the suggested retail price of $29.98 U.S.

This is another one of those long over due acknowledgements. I've been a Whitaker fan for years. One of my favorite movies is "The Crying Game!"
Forest, thank you for years of great movies. I am confident that my sentiments are shared by many.
