Nia Long, Hill Harper and Holly Robinson Peete have more in common than just being hardworking black actors adored by millions of fans; they will all receive a special commendation from leading cognac brand Martell with an exciting and worthwhile initiative.

The French owned company first paid homage to their thriving consumer base in 2004 with their highly successful Rise Above campaign, which featured new-school black history makers such as acclaimed theater director Kenny Leon, celebrity chef G. Garvin and luxury shoe designer Etu Evans.

To launch its new brand Noblige (derived from the word Nobility), Martell will go beyond the typical marketing realms that other spirits distributors use to curry favor with their African American consumer base.

Translation = they are putting their money where their mouths are.

Or our mouths are.

On March 29, Martell will visit Los Angeles with Discover Noblige, an exclusive traveling exhibition of the art, culture and style of the brand. As a celebration of charitable giving, the company will honor Long, Harper and Robinson Peete for their demonstrated philanthropic nobility.

In recognition of each of their prestigious cause related endeavors, Martell will make a charitable donation in each of their names to the Mwikali's Gift, HollyRod and MANifest Your Destiny Foundations, respectively.

Says, "We are pleased to contribute to the noble endeavors of Nia, Holly and Hill; pleased to support their vision and honored to share their uncompromising passion for enriching people's lives," said Martell Cognac's Brand Director Abegail Domond.

Local notable Chef Govind Armstrong has been commissioned to create original dishes that compliment Noblige during the event, to be held at the Forbes Life Suite at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

Distinguished local artist Talita Long and innovative fashion designer Chris Aire will have their culture contributions celebrated with the incorporation of their creations into the evening's festivities, a rep confirmed.
