Multiple platinum blue-eyed-soul singer Justin Timberlake has announced the second leg of his North American jaunt for this summer, and he's taking his ace boon coon along for the ride.
Hip-hop super-producer Timbaland will make special appearances for the additional 15 dates, which kicks off August 6 in Justin's home state of Tennessee (confirmed dates below).
Promoted by AEG Live and powered by Verizon Wireless and sponsored in part by Dell, the tour, officially titled 2007 FutureSex/Love Show, has already won rave reviews from mainstream media outlets such as 'The Los Angeles Times,' 'Entertainment Weekly' and 'Rolling Stone' magazine. " ... Timberlake not only brought sexy back, he brought it back with the promise of a bright future" heralded 'The Hollywood Reporter'.
Timberlake, who recently starred in the abysmal 'Black Snake Moan,' is accompanied by a 14 piece band with back up dancers performing in the round at various arenas across the country. Pop/soul wunderkind Pink serves as the opener for the first leg of the tour.
With hits such as 'Cry Me A River' and the most recent 'What Goes Around Comes Back Around,' Timbaland and Timberlake have become pop music's dynamic duo.
"We're the best of friends and we look at it as a team package," the 36-year-old Timbaland (born Timothy Moseley) said of teaming with Timberlake. The Norfolk, Virginia native has amassed a stellar portfolio of hit songs over the past decade, working with the likes of Whitney Houston, Missy Elliott, Wyclef Jean, Brandy, Beck, Jay-Z, Nas, Ginuwine, Chingy, LL Cool J, Eve, Lil' Kim and the late Aaliyah.
On April 3, the album 'Timbaland Presents Shock Value' will arrive in stores, featuring collaborations with 50 Cent, Bjork, The Hives, Elton John, Fall Out Boy, She Wants Revenge, Dr. Dre and Sri Lankan rapper MIA.
The set's first single, 'Give it to Me,' features pop starlet Nelly Furtado.
