The old adage said "there's nothing like a woman scorned."
But when two sharp-tongued, no-holds barred media personalities butt heads, all hell is bound to break loose.
Just when my nerves were just starting to get un-worked after the brutal media fued between Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump a couple of months ago, a new spat may be brewing between reality TV vixen Miss New York and controversial radio shock jock Miss Jones.
The two women have become sensations in their respective field by pandering to the hip-hop underbelly and repeatedly cavorting their wares to the low class ilk.
Jones, legally known as Tarsha Nicole Jones, is a former telephone operator and back-up singer for rap legend Doug E. Fresh. In the mid-1990s, the Astoria, Queens native signed with Motown Records, after a stint with indie label Stepsun Records didn't pan out.
Already building a thriving fan base with underground singles 'Don't Front' and 'Where I Wanna Be Boy,' her major label opus, 'The Other Woman,' quickly established her as a name to be reckoned with amongst the crop of burgeoning hip-hop soul singers.
From there, she tapped into her gift of gab and audience connectivity by reinventing herself as a weekend radio host on New York City's hip-hop station Hot 97. Within a few years, Jones rose in the ranks -- paying her dues and even enduring a co-hosting stint with Troi "Star" Torrain -- to become one of the station's marquee talents.
However, controversy and misfortune continues to follow her throughout her career; unconfirmed reports of a failed marriage attempt, alleged domestic abuse and a miscarriage, along with very public media thrashings for remarks made about transit workers and an infamous Tsunami disaster skit have become her legend.
So what does Miss Jones (a.k.a Jonesy) have to do with Miss New York?
Well their two paths recently collided during an explosive telephone interview where Jones lambasted New York for lying about going to the tony Syracuse University. "Y'all bitches gonna learn," Jones, an alum, chided after abruptly hanging up the phone on her. "Y'all gonna stop calling up in here testing me." (Listen to the interview here).
We all know Miss New York (legally known as Tiffany Pollard, or Tiffany Patterson --depending on who you ask): She's the larger-than-life subject of VH1's runaway hit 'I Love New York' -- a spinoff of Flavor Flav's wildly popular 'Flavor of Love' series.
With the promotion of her show's season finale (airing on April 2), New York has been making the media rounds, once again.
And she is pulling no punches about her disdain for Jones, either.
"First of all, Miss Jones doesn't appeal to me in any type of way," she fired off on VH1's Celebreality Blog yesterday. "I don't have any respect for her. She's very angry. She's very nasty. She was asking me very personal questions about myself and I wasn't going to answer her honestly, because I felt like she wasn't really interested in my life. She was trying to attack me. So, of course, I just played with her. And her being a radio personality, she knew I wasn't being honest. I didn't care, I knew I had to get through that interview and remain professional. But I will say this: I think she's a fat, bitter bitch."
Whoa.
"I wasn't going to let anyone ruin my morning," she continued. "You can only push my buttons if I allow you to, and I didn't allow her to push my buttons. She would have loved to have gotten into it with me. Who wouldn't want to get into it with me? That could have boosted her career that never went anywhere. She was an aspiring singer that never did anything. Miss Jones sucks. She gained about 80 lbs. She looks terrible."
That's a much.

i have to comment about miss jones. she will never ever be what miss wendy williams is. wendy turned her tragedy into triumph and laid all her bad cards on the table. for someone who was a coked up music industry hoe with a botched up marriage, she has come out on top as a best-selling author, television personality, fashion desginer, celebrity spokeswoman and nationally syndicated radio show host. she may be married to an ugly fat thug but she's happy. and after a few miscarriages and abortions, her little son is gorgeous. please dont ever compare jonesy to wendy. she may be just a couple of years older than her (wendy is 45, jonesy is 42) but she is a shining success. yeah, she acted like the dredge of the earth when she was on hot 97 a few years ago, but she has seen the light. miss jones has not learned from her past and she has a very very very regretful existence. she will never ever ever know happiness and peace with some of the garbage she puts out into the universe on a daily basis.

First of all i watched I love NY because i found it entertaining and funny . But we all so very recalled how Miss Ny acted when old boy called her mom a phony and she put on in church how she tried to tear him a new ass , yet when Tango's mom came to visit she dished some very nasty rude words her and her mom both they were very disrespectful and nasty . I find Ny and her mom the scaping of the shoe at this point not even entertaining or funny just sad . I totally understand this is tv and 15 minutes of fame means alot to some but never sale yourself to devil and expect to be saved . If she lied and got caught in so be it .Liars are usually caught anyhow if she didnt want to tell the truth all she had to do is say the old so No Comment . She is a liar and very much so a very sad representation of any woman past , present or future .

I don't know why African American women always get in these spats. Black women are the "movers and shakers" of our society as we know it. Ms. Jones has no reason to be jealous of Ms. New York. It is just Ms. New York's time to be in the spotlight.

I think Ms. Jones did a big disservice to herself and her show by trying to attack New York in a vicious manner. Regardless of what anybody thinks about New York, her show is getting big ratings. And I wish people would stop thinking that just because someone graduated from college that they are better than someone who did not. There are so many college graduates who have not achieved the financial success as New York. I admire New York for her guts even though I disagree with some of her ways.

I DON'T KNOW PEOPLE, I'M A LITTLE BIAS. I MEAN FOR REAL NEW YORK NEEDED NOT LIE ABOUT SOMETHING AS SMALL AS GOING TO COLLEGE. I MEAN DAMN EITHER YOU WENT OR YOU DIDN'T. DON'T GET ON THE AIR IN FRONT OF YOUR FRIENDS AND LIE, YOU MESS UP YOUR WHOLE CREDIBILITY....BUT THEN AGAIN DANG MISS JONES, YOU DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO GO AS FAR AS TO TRY TO BLAST A FELLOW SISTER ON THE AIR. SO WHAT SHE A LITTLE DINGY, THATS NOT YOUR PLACE TO MAKE IT KNOWN. I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG WIT NEW YORK WHEN SHE DECIDED TO TRY FOR A SECOND TIME ON FLAVOR OF LOVE. ANYWAY I THINK THEY WERE BOTH WRONG AND NEED TO SQUASH ALL THE NONSENSE. ITS MAKING THEM BOTH LOOK REAL RIDICULOUS.

Miss Jones,
Why would you loose your mind over a REALITY TELEVISION PERSONALITY? I would think since you said you are a college graduate, that you would be able to differentiate between fact and fiction. I would not have giving anything Miss New York has to say any notice. It's made-up reality televison. Everyone on there is trying to make a name for themselves anyway they can. SO THEY FOLLOW A SCRIPT!!!! Next time you conduct an interview with a reality television star, relax and go along with the script. Take it at face value, IT'S MAKE BELEIVE!
Or maybe I have another one for you, did you and New York decide to beef to boost the ratings or bring some additional attention to both of your shows?

All ya’ll are crazy!! New York is a gold-diggin, good-for-nothin-low life bitch that she is, who looks like she’s been drag thru every street in NEW YORK CITY. That hefta will be back given the chance next season. And her poor Momma!!! Have Mercy – calling her a transvestite is like giving her a compliment. There are no words.
