Shar Jackson sure knows how to stay in the media.
The former 'Moesha' star -- now best known as Britney Spears' baby's daddy babies' mother -- is now a part of a growing list of black celebrity notables who have gone under the knife.
"I feel sexy and amazing," Jackson told the April 16 edition of 'In Touch Weekly' about her recent plastic surgery. "I'm looking forward to wearing two-piece swimsuits this year. The last time I wore a bikini was when I was 16."
The 30-year-old mother of four opened up to the popular tabloid about having being scarred by stretch marks from her numerous pregnancies. "I tried everything, but nothing got rid of stretch marks," she confided.
On January 26, she underwent a tummy tuck and breast lift, performed by Hollywood based specialists Dr. Michael Niccole and Dr. Ghada Y. Afifi.
"The amazing thing about the surgery is the short recovery time," Niccole told 'In Touch.' "Within four weeks, she was feeling great again."
Jackson, who reportedly started acting at age 11, has appeared in sitcoms such as 'ROC,' 'Hanging with Mr. Cooper,' and 'The Steve Harvey Show.' In 1996, she joined the cast of the hit UPN sitcom 'Moesha,' playing the role of Niecy Jackson, the title character's best friend.
Although well regarded as a favorite among black TV viewers, Jackson has most recently become tabloid fodder.
Two of her four children were fathered by Kevin Federline -- back-up dancer turned Britney Spears lover/husband/ex-husband and C-list media personality. With no movie or TV projects in the works, she has done a barrage of publicity revolving around their tumultuous and very short-lived affair and marriage.

Shar was an attractive young lady to begin with, but what I can't understand for the life of me is why she seems to want to cater to European beauty standards. I understand that she is of mixed heritage already but why the ill colored contacts? Her own eyes are so beautiful. After four babies, the woman is supposed to have a few stretch marks it happens. All African-American women have something about them that is just beautiful just the way it is. Let's recognize that and live with it. White women (i.e Britney Spears) wish they could walk, talk, and in general have it like us. There is a white woman who lives near me (with a bi-racial child, read between the lines y'all) who had the nerve to ask me how we as black women become so strong. Y'all wanna know what I told her? I'll tell y'all. I told her first of all because we have to be to rise above all of the bullsh%t that is thrown our way. I went into a little more detail than that but in the end I told her the cream of the crop always rises to the top. Who do y'all think Ms. Maya Angelou was talking about when she wrote Phenomenal Woman? It was you and you and you all of my beautiful sisters of color. Love yourselves and don't conform to what others say is beautiful because every time one of you runs out and pays to get rid of your natural beauty (i.e. your full lips and curves)you can bet that money that you spend some white woman is paying that and more to get what we are trying to get rid of to make themselves look more "exotic". Ain't that funny?

"After four babies, the woman is supposed to have a few stretch marks it happens".
Are you kidding me...most women I know do what ever they can to avoid them. She is 30 years old. If she has the money to fix the stretch marks, then she should be able to, without someone telling her she's trying to be white. Stretch marks are scars. If one had the opportunity to get rid of scars that covers 30% of your body, I'm quite sure one would jump at the chance. "Love yourselves and don't conform to what others say is beautiful because every time one of you runs out and pays to get rid of your natural beauty" STRETCH MARKS AREN'T CURVES. THEY ARE NOT BEAUTIFUL. SHE DIDN'T CUT OFF HER LIPS. She removed scars that she developed after 4 pregnancies. As common as they are, if you want to walk around looking like a Zebra, that's your business, but to try to call her out and compare her so the likes of say, Lil Kim, is pretty weak. I'm not sure how the whole diatribe on the White Chick and Strong Black woman have to do with homegirl. I will say this, Shar handled herself much more gracious than most. I give her credit for that, who gives a damn about her strange colored contacts? We all conform to European Beauty Standards, Unless you are walking around in Kente Printed Loin Cloths, no shoes, with beautiful natural hair in a straw hut in Africa, we are all influenced some way or another.

Why is anyone surprised by the contacts and plastic surgery? The fact that she has 2 babies by that white gut says it all

I am a believer in getting healthy and believing in a healthy lifestyle. But I am not one to judge another person. She did it because as eveyone knows HOLLYWOOD is a beauty contest and in order for you to get the roles that are going to blossom your career you have to look fabulous. She was a gorgeous, sexy woman before the PS but with it she is going to be able to have more doors open to her. Lets just hope she doesn't go down the MJ route. Good Luck Shar on you
family and career. Oh please leave the whole Brit and Fed drama behind you because you are better. And to blossom your career you have to be able to get past your past and focus on whats more dear to your heart. Brit and Fed or YOU and YOUR FAMILY. Good Luck

You are right on the money#4......."Unless you are walking around in Kente Printed Loin Cloths, no shoes, with beautiful natural hair in a straw hut in Africa, we are all influenced some way or another."
Bottom line it's her life and if that makes her feel better about herself, I'm happy. It doesn't change the fact that she is a strong BLACK WOMAN, a mother of four. That's the problem with the wrold. Everybody is worried everyone else except them selves.
