Shar Jackson sure knows how to stay in the media.
The former 'Moesha' star -- now best known as Britney Spears' baby's daddy babies' mother -- is now a part of a growing list of black celebrity notables who have gone under the knife.
"I feel sexy and amazing," Jackson told the April 16 edition of 'In Touch Weekly' about her recent plastic surgery. "I'm looking forward to wearing two-piece swimsuits this year. The last time I wore a bikini was when I was 16."
The 30-year-old mother of four opened up to the popular tabloid about having being scarred by stretch marks from her numerous pregnancies. "I tried everything, but nothing got rid of stretch marks," she confided.
On January 26, she underwent a tummy tuck and breast lift, performed by Hollywood based specialists Dr. Michael Niccole and Dr. Ghada Y. Afifi.
"The amazing thing about the surgery is the short recovery time," Niccole told 'In Touch.' "Within four weeks, she was feeling great again."
Jackson, who reportedly started acting at age 11, has appeared in sitcoms such as 'ROC,' 'Hanging with Mr. Cooper,' and 'The Steve Harvey Show.' In 1996, she joined the cast of the hit UPN sitcom 'Moesha,' playing the role of Niecy Jackson, the title character's best friend.
Although well regarded as a favorite among black TV viewers, Jackson has most recently become tabloid fodder.
Two of her four children were fathered by Kevin Federline -- back-up dancer turned Britney Spears lover/husband/ex-husband and C-list media personality. With no movie or TV projects in the works, she has done a barrage of publicity revolving around their tumultuous and very short-lived affair and marriage.

i have stretch marks and i too am considering a tummy tuck. it doesn't matter what other's think about it, this would be for me and not for you. it has nothing to do with white girls or trying to be white, this is all about how i see myself in the mirror. i exercise and have done everything that i can do to get rid of the excess flab. it just does not go away. it a tummy tuck is the answer so be it. you get tired of not being able to buy a suit because you have to buy the suit to fit your stomach and the jacket is too big. i have a friend that had her's done a few months ago and she says it was the best thing that happened to her (surgery wise). all of her stretch marks are gone and her clothes fit better. so to all of you that don't think that this a good idea so be it.

From the begining i have always said that shar has walked away from her relationship from kfed a little bit to quietly. Come on ladies if your man left you while you were pregnant and you already have one child for some rich chick or any other person for no reason, wouldn't you be extremely piss and calling him all sorts of names. i think that this was all planned between the two.they both new if he married that stupid blonde and have kids by her he knew they knew that he would come out of that marriage with millions of dollars depsite whatever their prenup states.thats why i never felt sorry for her. and when did she have the other 2 kids. are they kfeds also?

If she felt like she needed it, then good for her. But she is pretty. She just needs to keep your body toned. Do what you need to, to feel good about yourself. I mean, she was dumped in public by that sexy ass loser, Kevin Federline. . .and for Britney Spears white trash butt. And the reason why she doesn't a steady job, is because she doesn't fit hollywood's standard of beauty. After having four kids and having emotional stress, of course she's going to gain weight. That's normal.

I agree with #4 100%,not to mention in this day and age cosmetic surgery is just as prevalent as any other surgery..It's funny to me how people are quick to critique other's personal choices (especially celebrities) when the fact is we are all indiviuals and we are'nt meant to feel and think the same. Black or white I'm sure anyone of u if u could afford it would have alterations on the things we don't quite like about ourselfs..and as far as the color contacts SO WHAT!! we non celebs wear these all the time and most of the people I see wearing them,it's obvious they're contacts b/c the contacts are cheap, and we can't afford the best like celebrities, but we'll still wear them though. At least Shar's lenses look natural. I say stop hatin'.Like the saying goes "if u've got it flaunt it" well I say "if u can afford it why not get it?"

To me this whole issue is a non- issue. Like the comment that was made by another blogger: Black women are really ashamed of who they are. So they will do anything to identify with the oppressor's standard's of beauty. And when this is said of them the first defensive statement they will say is that -"i' am a strong Black woman."
that line is becoming so lame and predictable. If they were so strong as they claim to be they would stop dating and worshipping at the alter of the white man's genitials. Black women always have something negative to say about the black man and the white women when it comes to relationships. But nothing is said of the fact that millions black women and other women of color are actively persuing the white women's man. To me, black women are extremely envious of white women's natural-god given; supreme beauty. If you think blog has no relivance to the issue at hand just look all of the black women out there that have had "enhancement?" surgery. And then look at who they date and give support, respect, love too. It is certainly not the bothers.

Please those "other" actress get work done all the time, who actually needs 7 nose jobs, ass injections, lip injections and new cheek bones (no one actually NEEDS it, they do it to make themselves feel better).
Why is she getting all this slack about having stretch marks removed and a tummy tuck. It's not like she had a full body lift. Stretch marks are a natural part of life. I don't know one sister who does not have any myself included, and I do not know one sister who cherishes them and is proud to show them off to the world while she's in her swimsuit at the beach. Stretch marks are SCARS, and after 4 kids sure there are a few women that Palmers works on but there a 100,000's that it don't. Hell it takes 3-6 months to even see them lighten, why take all that time when they can be gone in a week.
This is something to make her feel better about her self. If you want to direct harsh comments throw them at those anorexic celebs and modeling agency's and models who have us thinking that everyone should be a size zero, with long blonde hair, blue eyes, plump pink lips and a size 6 shoe.
And as for
"Lyn at 7:30PM on Apr 10th 2007
10. THIS HO NEEDS TO GET A JOB. SHE GOT 4 KIDS AND RUNNING AROUND HERE LIKE SHE LINDSEY LOHAN!!! STOP THE MADNESS YOU NAPPY HEADED HO."
Was that suppose to be funny, biting off that racist idiot disc jockey- well its not. You don't know what she's doing- That woman has four kids. With 4 kids in school, needing lunch, clothes, shoes etc. she don't have time to wait around for a welfare check.
Also P. S. Last time I checked Shar Jackson wasn't an anorexic, binge drinker, who was addicted to drugs, and has been in and out of rehab.

To blogger: 21) "Blessed at 2:11PM on Apr 11th 2007"
Are you serious white women are not the ideal of beauty. "To me, black women are extremely envious of white women's natural-god given; supreme beauty."
Supreme beauty my black ass.
1. Collagen injections for thicker lips
2. butt injection for back side curves
3. hair thickening systems, hmmmm that sounds like a African trait.
4. perms for texture, hmmmm that sounds like a Latina trait
5. tans to have beautiful brown/bronze skin
6. Cheek implants for higher cheek bones that are similar to Asian, Indigenous Americans, or West African bone structures.
Do i really need to go any further as far as the standard of beauty is concerned, the list goes on and on.
Every ethnic culture is beautiful and they all have ethnic traits that white women don't possess unless they have it enhanced through surgery. Or to do you one better: you go and follow that family tree and see how many ancestors of color you actually have or they actually have and if they were born with brown eyes and thick lips but they are white- they aint all white. European standards of beauty don't apply to everyone everywhere no matter how influential and bombarding they are. All women are beautiful no matter what ethnicity they are and if it was not for your ethnocentrism you would know that. True to the fact none of that has anything to do with Shar Jackson, because i don't see how a tummy tuck or having stretch marks removes equal to someone trying to be white.
