Reports are circulating that Janet Jackson is being sued for a whopping $120 million.
But she remains undaunted.
While Leonard Salati alleges that two of Jackson's bodyguards grabbed him and choked him when he attempted to pass the singer a note at Club Marquee in February 2004, it's business as usual for the pop music icon.
According to hip-hop website sohh.com, lawyers for the veteran singer/actress were hoping to overturn the case, but Justice Rolando Acosta decided against it. He said that despite saying she only had one bodyguard with her and boyfriend, hip-hop music super-producer Jermaine Dupri, representatives for Club Marquee say she had three.
The judge said: "Not withstanding [the] counsel's valiant effort to shield Ms Jackson [the law grants] no exemptions based on celebrity status."
While the story may be picking up some traction, Miss Jackson focuses on her newest endeavor.
She's making a return to acting with a role in the forthcoming Tyler Perry film 'Why Did I Get Married,' which just wrapped last week.
An insider at Jackson's camp told The BV Newswire that they are not releasing a statement regarding this matter.

If that is true then she should have to pay the money. These people go out to clubs, the IVY-to be seen and gawked at by the public and Janet Jackson is notorius for boosting her self by going to crowded -places and then having her people act like thugs-it is an ego booster to these people. Pay up!

If the person was doing something that he knew that her bodyguards would be paranoid about, then he/ she needed there azz kicked, due to the fact that he did that stuff on purpose. And I wish that people would leave the Jackson Family alone, because they just messing with her, because they can't seem to get there hands on THE KING OF POP! Janet doesn't bother nobody, so leave her alone, and allow her to be in love & receive love from her Dupree.
God Bless you Ms. Janet, I am a true fan, and always hope that you perservere through all that you have to face, and much props to you for your super bowl stunt, because they did not say anything when Diana Ross was playing with Lil Kim's boob on I think it was the Grammy Award show, or MTV Music Awards show, and on top of that Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera both stripped on those shows, and they were barely 18 years old. What do you think would happen to me if I tried to walk up to the President of the United States, and pass him a note? Those bodyguards did what they get paid for. I wouldn't be the least surprised if this punk is playing litigant lotto, hoping for a big payoff or settlement.

so let me get this gay: a guy tries to talk to Janet, get her autograph what have you and gets shielded from her by her bodyguards and the guy sues her, not the bodyguards? and for that much money? take an aspirin and a nap, get over it black guy. I bet the guy was black.

I AGREE WITH YOU FIRSTSAI ABOUT THE PRESIDENT. THOSE SECRET SERVICE MEN ARE NOT GOING TO LET YOU GET NEAR THE PRESIDENT. JANET MAY NOT BE CLOSE TO THE PRESIDENT, BUT SHE IS A STAR AND A BIG ONE AT THAT. GIVE THE NOTE TO ONE OF THE BODY GUARDS, AND LET HIM PASS THAT ON. SOMETIME I DON'T KNOW WHO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE, SHE HAS BODYGUARDS FOR A PURPOSE.

A lot of people try to provoke stars, and their bodyguards so that the can try to sue them.Now if a deranged fan hurt Janet you same people would be talking about those incompetent bodyguards,how they should be fired.Those guards did their job and more power to them and Janet.

The lady is welcome and wanted in many places give her the respect she deserves by respecting her space and her bodyguards.....he are lucky that is all that happened to him....that is Janet Jackson, not your homie trying to get in the game...she is the game...he better recongize.
