There's more to the Des'Ree vs. Beyonce Copyright Infringement story we reported on last week.
Over the weekend, the former Destiny's Child frontwoman's management issued a statement in response to "Erroneous Media Reports Regarding B'Day Deluxe Edition."
"Unfortunately, there were some misunderstandings regarding whether Des'ree's song 'Kissing You' was cleared for release in the United States,' offered publicist Priscilla Clarke.
And if that's not enough, one of the diva's attorneys entered the fray.
"First and foremost we'd like to point out that as an artist, Beyoncé is not in any way involved in the process of obtaining clearances to re-record and release songs," said Hank Fasthoff.
Clarke mandates that obtaining clearances is customarily handled by management, the attorneys and/or the label.
"However, until this clearance situation is resolved, future distributions of the album/DVD in the United States will not include 'Still In Love (Kissing You).' The international market is not affected in any way because the song is not included on albums shipped outside of the United States."
Oh okay.
So the United States version of the Deluxe Edition that originally featured the song is no longer on the shelves. Instead, a new version -- without the song --- is now available.
We are crystal clear now.
We hope.

Beyonce didn't steal Des'Ree's song. Pat of the issue here is the fact that Beyonce changed the tempo, lyrics and the name of the original song. Des'ree WANTED beyonce to "steal" the song, basically do a complete and total remake of the original. She is getting pissy because Beyonce is using the beat.

Helloooo! This is the same glorified lap dancer that along with that pimp ass daddy of her's that threw the original members of the group under the bus because they thought they were a group not back up singers for Ms tits and ass.This spit was so cliche that it could've been a soap opra.Those last two air heads were actually dumb enough to think that this hoochie was not being put into position to go solo all along.Bee is as dumb as a bag of bricks and Michelle and Kelly are even dumber.Now she's trying to take food out someone else's mouth.How much is enough? I'll be glad when her 15 minutes are up.

I must agree with keisha, B has been blown wheyyyyyyyy over the top! She is definitely not a singer. She shakes her azz just like the sista's in any nasty disrespectful vidio. And, she wears expensive weave that most ordinary working women can't afford. And she has a "fat" bank account! Now, what??

I was sitting here reading all of the comments and most of the Des'ree who comments were starting to irk the hell out of me.. shes an artist just like B is just because you dont know here doesnt make her less of an artist. She had a beautiful album and a very uplifting song(YOU GOTTA BE) and if you've ever heard her version of kissing you you would understand why shes pissed i am a true fan of B but she shouldve left that song alone.. period
