To help diffuse all of the rumor and innuendo (and some facts), R&B hear-throb Usher (last name Raymond) issued a statement yesterday afternoon to clarify whether or not he fired his longtime manager/beloved mother Jonetta Patton.
Through his new spokesperson, power publicist Patti Webster, the 'Confessions' singer said the following:
"In light of several creative rumors regarding my career and personal life, I've decided to finally address a few of the accusations and stories that are currently in the media."
"First, it is true I have met a very special woman and friend, Tameka Foster. But contrary to the various media reports, she has no aspirations of becoming my manager or any other artist's manager."
"As it relates to my mother, Jonnetta Patton, she and I are on great terms and support each other in our life's endeavors. We are both very happy but are now working in different areas of the business. This is great for me because it means I now get to have my mother strictly as my mother with no added pressure. No one will ever know how much she has taught me as it pertains to living my life and having a successful career. But now that I am maturing, growing into my manhood and have new priorities, one thing hasn't changed. That is being able to have a close knit family, something that means more to me than anything in the world. So at this time in my life, I am simply more interested in building the strength of my family. And in order to do that, I feel its best to separate my business life from my personal life."

Hello To Our Dear Brother Usher Raymond,
Thank you for sharing your side of the story regarding the rumor that you are replacing your mother with new management and Tameka.
Usher you may not realize this but over the years we have grown not only to love you, but we also love your mother and your brother too. We love your family. We love the God in you and we do not understand how you can let sex with Tameka hex your destiny.
Yes!!! You are in a SEX HEX and you don't even realize it. There is a dead cat on the line that needs to be removed and your blind spots are keeping you from seeing it. Mama is simply trying to tell you the truth that will set you free for God and from the sex hex.
The Bible say's, "You reap whatsoever you sow and you judge a tree by the fruit that it bares." So if you had a sexual relationship with Tameka when she was married to the father of her three young children then you and Tameka will both reap what you are sowing and their is nothing that you, your money, your celebrity, your new publicist and management team can say or do about it. God and His Word will be the final judge in eternity.
As I see it, either we are citizens and an ambassador's of the Kingdom of Heaven or we are citizens of this world. If we declare our citizenship to this world then yes it is okay for you/me/we to abide by this worlds system. However, please keep in mind that if we sincerely stand for Christ then by all means the world should see it by the way we live our lives and the decisions we make.
Either we stand for Christ or ourselves. Either we live by God's Kingdom Laws and Rules or we live by our own. There is no in between. We must be hot or cold not lukewarm.
So, Usher, if you are living by your own rules, excuses and justifications then PLEASE don't put God in the mess that you and Tameka are creating. PLEASE don't put God in your lukewarm decision.
If we do right then we can't go wrong. It's time for all Christians not just Usher to take a stand for Christ for real and not lean to our own understanding. We can't make decisions that feel right. We got to be right and do what's right in the eye sight of God and man. We all have to stay away from the very appearance of evil not just Usher.
This situation with Usher is so obviously wrong that it should serve to wake all of us up. It's time for all us (and that includes me too) to wake up and walk in love, integrity and obedience to THE WORD OF GOD. We must submit to leadership that will hold us accountable for our actions and not accept our mess when we know in our hearts that we are eternally wrong.
Usher, please, talk to God, your spiritual father, Bishop Eddie Long, and then go back and talk to God again before you move forward with the decision to connect with Tameka in Holy Matrimony. We know that the two of you are in agreement but that still does not make your union HOLY before God and man. Read THE WORD with understanding before making a marriage decision. The world is watching the God in you so be careful. Usher, take your time so that you can make a decision that will bring glory and honor to GOD.
God test and the devil temps. God is calling you and testing you and Tameka is being used to temp you. Don't put your head in Delilah's lap because she will cut your hair off and you will lose your strength and position in the Kingdom. Don't let the spirit of Jezebel destroy the purpose and plan that God has for your life. Call that spirit out. Call a demon a demon and cast it out in JESUS NAME!
Please don't let Tameka lead you to Mecca. You know that Mecca is another God. This is bigger than Usher Raymond. This is bigger than Tameka. It's so much bigger than you.
USHER REMEMBER: It is humility before honor and pride before a fall. So humble yourself and seek God for real and make a decision that will bring glory and honor to God's name and His Kingdom.
God bless Tameka and her family. We all want the best for her and her children. The WORD say's "Man looks at the outer appearance but God judges what's in a man's heart." I/we don't know what's in Tameka's heart but God does so USHER seek Him and He will reveal mysteries to you.

I dont do this often however I felt the need to share my thoughts. To comments 2 & 3 you should be ashamed of yourself! You guys need to read & get a better understanding & maybe you'll see why she said what she said. Although Inspire did take it to a whole different level I do feel as though she made a lot of sense. GOD use us for different things & maybe this wasnt directed only to Usher...When GOD speak to you & tell you to do something you do with no questions asked, so maybe she was writting in the spirit. Maybe someone else on here needed to here the things that she spoke about to get their life in order & back on track. Anyways I know I'm involved in a sex hex but thats another story! (lol) But for real that wasnt called for #2. Cant we all just get along.

AS FOR ALL COMMENTS REGARDING USHER RAYMOND AN HIS MOTHER. EVERYONE HAS THERE REASONS FOR DOING WHAT THEY DO. USHER DID IT TO HAVE MORE PERSONAL TIME WITH HIS MOM. BUT I DONT THINK SHE WILL BE COMPLETELY OUT OF THE MUSIC BUSINESS WITH USHER. AND TO ALL THAT SENT OR WROTE THE EXPLICIT LANGUAGE TO THE YOUNG LADY NEED TO KNEEL AND PRAY,BECAUSE APPARENTLY THEY DONT BELIEVE IN GOD. EVERYONE HAS THEY OWN OPINION IN LIFE.
