To help diffuse all of the rumor and innuendo (and some facts), R&B hear-throb Usher (last name Raymond) issued a statement yesterday afternoon to clarify whether or not he fired his longtime manager/beloved mother Jonetta Patton.
Through his new spokesperson, power publicist Patti Webster, the 'Confessions' singer said the following:
"In light of several creative rumors regarding my career and personal life, I've decided to finally address a few of the accusations and stories that are currently in the media."
"First, it is true I have met a very special woman and friend, Tameka Foster. But contrary to the various media reports, she has no aspirations of becoming my manager or any other artist's manager."
"As it relates to my mother, Jonnetta Patton, she and I are on great terms and support each other in our life's endeavors. We are both very happy but are now working in different areas of the business. This is great for me because it means I now get to have my mother strictly as my mother with no added pressure. No one will ever know how much she has taught me as it pertains to living my life and having a successful career. But now that I am maturing, growing into my manhood and have new priorities, one thing hasn't changed. That is being able to have a close knit family, something that means more to me than anything in the world. So at this time in my life, I am simply more interested in building the strength of my family. And in order to do that, I feel its best to separate my business life from my personal life."

Some people are nuts. First of all why is everybody trippin over the age difference? Older men marry younger women all the time and nobody says anything. Usher said that he loves his mom and now he just wants her to be his mom and not his manager. I can understand her being his manager in the beginning because he was young and needed guidance and protection. But now he is a grown azz man. Maybe he wants to control his own career and feel free to make more decisions about it. I love my mom too but i don't need her involved in all my bizness all the time. And I dont know why everybody thinks Usher is a dummy and Tameka is pulling his strings. Grow up people. Usher did.

sorry but he does have a sex hex on him he should run back to chili and tell her he is sorry that tameka girl is not the type of girl you take home to mom any mother would feel the same way and what does he do he fires his only mom and that is a load of bull "I just want to separate bus from family" if you love someone you care about the total person every aspect of there life you can not departmentalize lke that she will always want what is best for him and that girl at it maybe he is looking for a mom that's why he is with the little old lady that lived in a shoe ok i must say something nice now at least she is a sister

For the record and for the purpose of clarity and understanding I would like to clarify the follwoing:
For some reason the comment number order got switched around after I, Inspire, wrote comment #8 and after Miss T, wrote comment #4.
When I wrote my second statement (comment #8), comment # 4, MISS T, was comment # 5 and comment #9, HEY, was comment #3.
So according to the new comment number order I would like to clarify that I was thanking comment #4 NOT #5 (no disrespect to #5) for her words of support that she wrote in response to my heartfelt statement to Usher and his family.
Miss T (comment #4) was rigtht on target with my heart and I appreciate her and all of you who are expressing words of support and agreement. Thank you and may God continue to bless you.

EXCELLENT POST INSPIRE!!! EXCELLENT!! It's about time someone speaks about what is going on spiritually in this situation. People have called this poster (Inspire)crazy because they can only see what's on the surface. A true christian can understand and see the spiritual ramifications and consequences of sin. The world has taught us that it's okay to commit adultury but as you can see, once someone gives the devil an open door, he starts to take over. No I'm not calling Tameka a devil but the enemy is definitely using her. Usher, being raised as a christian understands this whether hes' willing to admit it or not. I whole heartedly agree that it's time for Usher to seek Godly council. Whether it's with Bishop Eddie Long or someone else he trusts. No one can negate the fact (whether you are christian or not) that Usher is in trouble. Godly intervention is surely needed at this time. Like the bible says, what is done in the dark will always come to the light. You cannot covet another man's wife in secret and expect to continue in sin without consequence. Usher's sense of judgement and ability to make sound decisions has been clouded by sin. Plain and simple. He has disgraced himself and his family publically but it's not impossible for him to recover. I pray that he will swollow his pride and start to make the right choices.

You know a few friends of Usher's did mention in the media that Tameka has got a hold on him but they don't know what it is.
Question: How old are Tameka's children? Could it be that Usher is one of her baby's daddy? MAYBE Usher is the daddy of the latest child and Tameka's husband does not know about it. MAYBE her husband thinks it's his baby when it's really Usher's. Yes, Usher's got some confessions. Maybe that's what he was trying to tell us when he sang, "My chick on the side say she got one on the way." Was Tameka the chick on the side with one on the way?
Another Point: Usher said he used to party hard, drink, smoke, and get a little high. Well, could it be that Tameka and Usher are getting a little drunk and high together and that's the hold she has on him? Bobby and Whitney had drinking and drugs in common so what about Usher and Tameka?
I don't know, but something's wrong. You can't fool us with some pretty words and a creative marketing spin game. Something is wrong. I saw Usher in a picture with Tameka on vacation and he was a little over weight. I am sure he lost the weight by now but still that's a sign of what's to come if he does not wake up and see that his special friend, Tameka is not the one.
