Get ready to scream.
The BV Newswire has learned that urban music chart-toppers Ciara and T.I. have been announced as headliners for this year's 'Scream Tour,' aptly titled "Screamfest '07."
Slated to kick off in late July and is scheduled to hit 24 cities on the tour, the tour's complete routing will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Miami, Detroit, Baltimore and DC, will definitely make the itinerary.
For the past seven years, the teen-friendly outing has become synonymous with showcasing the best that the R&B and Rap world has to offer to thousands of screaming youth. Year after year, the series continues to bring bigger stars, bigger productions and bigger crowds together in cities across the country.
Ne-Yo, Bow Wow, B2K, Chris Brown, Nick Cannon, Pretty Ricky and Omarion are apart of the notable line-up of Scream Tour alumni.
Ciara, who just signed on to star in the movie 'Mama I Want to Sing,' is the first and only female headliner for the tour.
Her latest album, 'The Evolution,' debuted at number one selling more than 338,000 copies in its first week, and has sold more than one million copies to date.
The two-time Grammy Award winning T.I., who will star alongside Academy Award winners Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe and Cuba Gooding, Jr. in 'American Gangster' this fall, is readying his highly anticipated fifth studio album entitled 'T.I. vs T.I.P' -- to be released on July 3 via Atlantic Records.
This year's ScreamFest is being produced and marketed by Michael Mauldin and his Mauldin Brand Agency for SCREAM Star Entertainment. Mauldin is a revered music executive who served stints at Columbia Records. He is also the father of hip-hop super-producer Jermaine Dupri.
"We are, without a doubt, catering to the youth and giving them something to scream about; making their summer unforgettable via a 'live' show," he said. "The Scream Tour has become synonymous with bringing the youth's favorite artists and the best live stage show to their city."

Ciara is a better model than singer, she really can't sing, she's pretty and skinny. However, her voice is not all that, she whispers everything to me. She's a dancer not a singer, I wouldn't look through my window if she was performing in my back yard, and Bow-Wow can do better I think. Don't get me wrong, Ciara is a good dancer, but she's singing...sort of speak.
