Rap music veteran Rasheeda released her new album 'Dat Type of Gurl' today via Imperial Records, which is distributed by EMI Music.
Featuring guest appearances from Senegalese singing sensation Akon and southern favorites, Baby, Jazze Pha and Fabo of D4L, the opus' first single is titled 'My Bubblegum.'
"This album is just expressing me; just who I am; the type of girl I am, and the album is called that," the self-proclaimed "Queen of Crunk" told 'MTV Radio.'
"It's just about the regular female stuff that we go through. Whether it's in the club, whether it's in the streets, whether it's at home, whether it's in relationships and stuff you can just bump in your car and kick it with your girls, and the fellas gonna love it too."
The one-name moniker lyricist -- who claims Atlanta, Georgia as her home -- has been cranking out hits since the early 90s. As a teenager she honed her skills by writing rhymes and perfecting her craft as an MC. Legally known as Rasheeda Buckner, the thirty-something single mother of three is recognized as one of the sexiest woman in hip-hop.

She's so beautiful she can be a model. But no she wants to sing about someone chewing on her bubble gum. Is that her who raps tha if not i never heard of her. This lady is more beautiful than anyone who has been on top model.

Rasheeda is the best!!!!! I meet her at a teen jam concert summer of 2005 in charleston,sc.She was REALLY nice!!!She signed posters and she looks just like the pictures,PERFECT.Shortly after meeting her, my father passed away.I emailed her fan page and she wrote me back she was soooo nice.My poster she gave me got destroyed, she sent me a whole bunch of her stuff.She's not well known but she is Very talented.It only a matter of time.....
