Did we all see this coming or what?
It was reported today that a paternity test shows that Academy Award nominated funnyman Eddie Murphy is the father of British celebrity notable Melanie Brown's newborn baby girl, Angel Iris Murphy Brown.
'People' magazine cites Brown's rep for revealing that a DNA test has confirmed that the 'Beverly Hills Cop' star is, indeed, the father of the Spice Girls' spawn.

Just last week media outlets reported that Murphy was forced to take the test, after months of controversy.
Brown's representative, Liza Anderson, told the magazine that the results, confirming Murphy's paternity, were unveiled Thursday.
While Murphy, who starred in the multiple award winning musical 'Dreamgirls' last season, never actually denied the paternity, he seemed publicly dismissive and brushed off acknowledgment of his whirlwind love affair with the former pop star.
"I don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test," the Brooklyn nativedefiantly responded to a Dutch interviewer while promoting 'Dreamgirls,' last December.
The comments and his infamous inflection added fuel to the fire.
There was even a vasectomy theory that spread like wildfire, with Murphy's sibling Charlie Murphy embroiled in tabloid reports about it.
"As far as I know, this [incident] never happened," he said poo-pooing rumors that he was overheard confirming his brother had his tubes tied. "How would I know if my brother had a vasectomy? Charlie Murphy does not have the itinerary on any man's penis!"
Alrighty then.
In an interview with 'Sister 2 Sister' magazine, Murphy's current galpal, film executive Tracey Edmonds defended his honor saying he's "an amazing father" and stating that "the press went crazy ... but he never said [he was not the father]. He just said, 'I want a paternity test."
Murphy is the father of five children with his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy.
Considered one of Hollywood's biggest stars, the 'Saturday Night Live' alum and recent Golden Globe Award winner continues his hot streak at the box-office; in Feb, he produced and starred in 'Norbit' -- which raked in nearly $90 million worldwide; in May, his starring 
role in 'Shrek the Third' help the animated franchise continue its windfall of success, grossing more than $121million in its first weekend, making it the best opening weekend ever for an animated film.
No word from the Murphy camp since the paternity news broke nationally today

Why is it that men always deny paternity but not having sex with that person. Men STOP looking so stupid. Most wemen know if you are the father.

You know I am sick of hearing about the trophy girlfriend Tracey Edmonds (where was she when he was caught with transvestites, not once but twice) and Eddie hardly funny Murphy. How about taking care of your kids Eddie? It's no laughing matter.

Pay the Lady, Eddie. Next Time use a condom, it usually helps most of time if you are not interested in becoming a father of an innocent child. Also, please have a relatonship with little girl, regardless of how you feel. Tracy has an moral obligation to encourage Eddie to do the right thing. Another, african american child without an father in the home. Ladies let's also take the responsilbility of bearing children as well, money does not buy your child happiness, in long run!

This is funny because I thought Mel-B was a lesbian now. I guest she knows how to pick them, because before she got with Eddie I never seen her with a black man before. People say its not about the money, but I guarantee you Mel-B will not turn down anything, but her collar. Damn, she just won the lottery. Even though Eddies the father Benjamin Franklin is that Childs Daddy.

Mel-b had a child so she should not turn down anything. futhermore Eddie choose her as well without a condom so don't make it look like it's all her fault at least the child well be cared for and not by welfare.

Most of the public suspected that the woman knew what she was talking about - simply because she was so adamant about it. In the beginning he allowed the press to quote the lovely and endearing comments he made about his then new love and how happy they were and by the end she was claiming to not even been given a mere warning that the relationship was over! Now, that's kind of funny....

I saw the pics of the baby online in the photo shoot Mel B. did. That po' lil child has her father's nose, she cannot be denied!!! As soon as I saw the pics, I was like "Yup, Eddie got another daughter!" She DAMN sure didn't get the nose from her mam. Eddie should go on national TV and apologize to Mel AND his daughter. If he can be public with his so called doubts then he can be public with his remorse and admit he was wrng. Maybe that will inspire W, our president to do the same. Best regards to Mel and little Miss Angel. Oh and Eddie....the girl was born on your birthday, I think that was God's way of saying, "HELLLLL-OOOOOO"

Eddie Murphy is not God or Jesus Christ nor is Scary spice. I think it is sad that his marriage with his wife did not make it. I don't know what went wrong in his personal life or hers (Scary Spice) but like many famous celebraties, people get hurt badly. The lesson to be learned from all this, is that if you want true love, try to treat others as you would like to be treated. You can't have a good relationship when you destroy someone elses or play a hand in it. Eddie Murphy, treat this woman you are with good; and your life will be worth it. God Bless!

Lisa, just because Mel-B is going to receive money from Eddie it doesnt mean that child will be cared for. I think you have your priorities mixed-up. The number one thing that child needs is a father, because money cant buy everything, as she gets older she will need a father to help her succeed in life. I see why HIV is running wild in our community, because some women think, if the man doesnt wear a condom they have no right or will to protect their self, thats selfish and stupid. Please, black women lets think outside the box.
