It was reported today that a paternity test shows that Academy Award nominated funnyman Eddie Murphy is the father of British celebrity notable Melanie Brown's newborn baby girl, Angel Iris Murphy Brown.
'People' magazine cites Brown's rep for revealing that a DNA test has confirmed that the 'Beverly Hills Cop' star is, indeed, the father of the Spice Girls' spawn.

Just last week media outlets reported that Murphy was forced to take the test, after months of controversy.
Brown's representative, Liza Anderson, told the magazine that the results, confirming Murphy's paternity, were unveiled Thursday.
While Murphy, who starred in the multiple award winning musical 'Dreamgirls' last season, never actually denied the paternity, he seemed publicly dismissive and brushed off acknowledgment of his whirlwind love affair with the former pop star.
"I don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test," the Brooklyn nativedefiantly responded to a Dutch interviewer while promoting 'Dreamgirls,' last December.
The comments and his infamous inflection added fuel to the fire.
There was even a vasectomy theory that spread like wildfire, with Murphy's sibling Charlie Murphy embroiled in tabloid reports about it.
"As far as I know, this [incident] never happened," he said poo-pooing rumors that he was overheard confirming his brother had his tubes tied. "How would I know if my brother had a vasectomy? Charlie Murphy does not have the itinerary on any man's penis!"
Alrighty then.
In an interview with 'Sister 2 Sister' magazine, Murphy's current galpal, film executive Tracey Edmonds defended his honor saying he's "an amazing father" and stating that "the press went crazy ... but he never said [he was not the father]. He just said, 'I want a paternity test."
Murphy is the father of five children with his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy.
Considered one of Hollywood's biggest stars, the 'Saturday Night Live' alum and recent Golden Globe Award winner continues his hot streak at the box-office; in Feb, he produced and starred in 'Norbit' -- which raked in nearly $90 million worldwide; in May, his starring 
role in 'Shrek the Third' help the animated franchise continue its windfall of success, grossing more than $121million in its first weekend, making it the best opening weekend ever for an animated film.
No word from the Murphy camp since the paternity news broke nationally today

I dated my baby's father for five years before we had a kid and now my child is three he still doesn't have any thing to with me or my child he does pay child support. It's not about the money, I Loved him very much. He was fine with the pregnancy and the birth of our baby. Two years later, seem like our child doesn't even exist to him.

I personally think that it should be between Eddie and Mel-B what goes on with the child. Eddie should take care of his responsibility and she should let him be a father to his child if thats what he choose to do, which I hope he does, because that child did not ask to be brought into this world she is innocent and the parents should act like grown adults and make sure that she has a life that will make both of them proud.

to smoothsmitty, I am sick and tired of people blaming the women for setting up these grown men. If he knew he was not interested in this women as a wife or the mother of his kids, then HE should have worn a rubber, or better yet never got involved, and then he would know indefinitly that he was not the father, and there would be no setup. This is why there are so many trifling black men in the world because women who claims there are no good black men out there are always babying them, and not making them responsible for their own actions. I have said it once and saying it again, God created women for men the be fruitful, and multiply and men are suppose to be providers for these women and kids. So stop being stray dogs out on the street and pick the women you choose to mate with more carefully

I understand Eddie taking the test. I took care of a child for 17 years and because of what she had been told, I had the court order the test. And guess what, I am not her boilogical father. I earn all men who are not 100% sure, have the test done and save youself some grief.

Ok Eddie, Its time to Man Up! Be tha man you say you are, and duhhhhhhh, See what God did for you, on your Birthday, ok what time is it? Every year you celebrate, you know your baby is another year older. If God said it, You know you did it. & God doesn't Make Mistakes. so Be her Daddy, she gonna need you, or should I say, You may need her. Let the Joke be on Your Fans, Be Her Angel's Daddy.

Eddie needs to stop playing he knew he was the father of that baby. I think he just wanted some attention, and now he is walking around looking stupid while Scary Spice is walking around with that I told you look on her face.
All I have to say to Mr. Murphy is GET THE CHECKBOOK OUT BROTHER.
