Garcelle Beauvais is the cover girl of the August edition of Playboy magazine, expected to hit newsstands this week.
The bronze beauty, known primarily for her acting work on the TV sitcom 'The Jamie Foxx Show' and on the drama 'NYPD Blue,' is also pregnant and expecting twins later this year.
Talk about perfect timing.
Beauvais, who is married to talent agent Mike Nilon, is expecting two sons to be born this November, according to published reports. The twins are the first children for the interracial couple, who have been married since 2001.
Beauvais is already the mother of a 16-year-old son (Oliver) from a previous marriage.
Born in St. Marc, Haiti the screen siren's original claim to fame came in the form of fashion modeling. Signed to the Ford Modeling Agency at 17, she has graced the pages of Essence and Ebony and appeared in catalogs for Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom., along with print advertisment campaigns for brands such as AVON, and Clairol.
The Haitian sensation is also known for her parts in music videos for Luther Vandross and R. Kelly -- her role as Mr. Biggs' woman Lila Hart in the surreal and sad 'Down Low (Nobody Has to Know)' video is classic.
Over a decade later, the 40-year-old MILF (an acronym for mothers who are sexually attractive) is baring her all in a tasteful Playboy pictorial -- and is looking better than some women half her age.
Wowza!
On the acting front, Beauvais will next be seen in the thriller 'I Know Who Killed Me,' starring Lindsay Lohan and Julia Ormond, due out this summer.

I think posing for playboy was great. Why shouldn't she pose? She is beautiful and has a nice body. I would do it. So say "You go girl!"

If we don't start standing for something, We'll fall for anything. She did't have to do pose for playboy we already know she's a beautiful person with a body so why try to prove it to anyone else that is our problem everyone one thinks what ever this world has to offer is okay. now all the good things are bad, and all the bad things are good. What are we doing? I don't have to prove nothing to anyone The body that we have is a gift from God. And it is a beautiful thing but not to let the whole world exam it like i'm a freak in a side show. RESPECT YOURSELF. no matter what man wants.

If I had her body, I would walk around nekkid, dayum you people act like she posed with another woman in Penthouse or was shown in a compromising postion on the Internet. It's "Playboy"!..a very successful magazine that portrays the body as a work of art. It was very tasteful and she is gorgeous. I know everyone in this blog has seen some type of porn in their day, OMG I wonder what people would say about you!
Get a life... she is beautiful....
And to #6 she is not a sell out, and if you are referring to her husband, let's not forget the number of celebrity black men, who cross that line all the time... does that make them sellouts too?

#3... people get their names defamed by ignorant people..(i.e. Isaiah Washington). People get their names defamed by making tapes of themselves and expecting it to be private (i.e. Ray J.. and Ne-Yo). People get their names defamed, by preaching one thing, and doing the exact or extreme opposite (i.e Jesse Jackson...Brandy). People get their names defamed by drunk driving (i.e Vivica Fox, Shemar Moore, EVE, Diana Ross). People get their names defamed by getting caught with drugs and/or weapon (i.e. almost every rapper who is rapping today).People get their names defamed, by hopping in and out of bed, having unprotected sex, and having babies out of wed lock( i.e... some one we know)
No one (to my knowledge) has ever had their name defamed by posing for playboy.

Who cares what we think? What does her 16 year old son think?
Would most women out there feel proud and beautiful if their teenaged sons and their friends saw them in this way?
Be honest.
