Amy Winehouse's reign atop of the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart is finally over after a two week run.
As a matter of fact, with almost half million albums sold in the first week of release, T.I.'s new album 'T.I. vs. T.I.P.,' makes a triumphant No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 album chart.
The Grand Hustle/Atlantic records disc -- a concept project pairing the Atlanta-bred bad boy with his alter ego -- is the biggest urban music premiere of the year, ranking second only to Linkin Park's 'Minutes To Midnight' as the biggest debut thus far in '07. According to Nielsen SoundScan, 'T.I. vs. T.I.P.' has amassed sales of 468,000 copies.
The opus marks the second consecutive No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 for the platinum-selling thug rap icon, following last year's breakthrough smash, 'KING.'
T.I. (legally known as Clifford Harris) was embroiled in a celebrity-clad melee during the '2007 BET Awards' festivities two weeks ago. But that didn't stop him from walking away with the Best Hip-Hop Artist award.
As previously reported by The BV Newswire, T.I. will headline the upcoming "Screamfest '07" tour, slated to kick off August 3 in New Orleans, featuring Ciara, T-Pain, Yung Joc, and others.
T.I. will follow his big-screen acting debut in last year's 'ATL' by co-starring in the eagerly anticipated drama 'American Gangster.' Due November 2, the Ridley Scott-directed crime drama will see T.I. sharing the screen with Academy Award winners Denzel Washington, Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Russell Crowe.
According to his spokesperson, a slate of further projects - via T.I.'s own Grand Hustle Films - will be announced in the coming weeks.

I'm a huge fan of T.I. and I proud of the work he has put out. We all have flaws, nobody's perfect we all make mistakes. People should just stop judging others so much. I'm so tired of this Bitchs and Ho's arguement their are far more pressing issues. No I agree with not using the "N" word, but face it people there are Bitches and Ho's out there real talk.

Please help the young man. His arrogance and ego is at the expense of our children. His antics are appealing to the young. The chip is so obvious when he performs and accept/awards. He needs to speak to the young about safe sex and education.

I have two young children. I don't need TI talking to my kids about safe sex and education. Does he practice safe sex? Does he have an education? We need to be responsible for our own children and stop wanting athletes and rappers to raise our kids as role models.
I'm glad he's successful doesn't effect me one way or the other. I'd rather see him selling millions of records than going to jail..

I feel that rap is what it is, so if you don't like it don't watch video's and listen to the radio, that's why they invented cd's so you can buy music you like, if you don't like rap don't listen to it. the world will still substain if a couple million people don't listen to T.I., at least he's doing something constructive like making music and movies instead of drive by's and gang organization, we as blacks hate to much on our own people and that's sad, I personally like his music, and I don't let my kids listen because, they are to young to understand what it's talking about. Some R&B songs are to sexually suggestive and my kids don't listen to that either music is for everybody just found the type you like.

I READ SOME OF THESE COMMENTS OK FIRST OFF ITS NOT T.I.'S JOB TO RAISE UR KIDS U HAVE TO RAISE UR KIDS. FURTHERMORE T.I. IS A ENTERTAINER HIS JOB IS TO ENTERTAIN U . IF U DONT LIKE WHAT HE IS SAYING THEN DONT WATCH IT , DONT LISTEN TO IT. BUT ITS WAY WORSE THINGS OUT HERE THAN T.I. I MEAN IN EVERYDAY SOCIETY PPL USE THOSE WORDS . WHEN UR CHILD GOES TO SCHOOL THEY WILL LEARN THOSE WORDS PERIOD. WHEN I WAS YOUNG I NEVER HEARD A CUSS WORD TILL I GOT IN SCHOOL. I THINK T.I. IS A YOUNG MAN THAT LIVED IN A ROUGH COMMUNITY AND HE DID WHAT HE HAD TO TO GET OUT OF THAT. I COMMEND HIM CAUSE HE COULD HAVE BEEN DEAD AT 20 YRS OLD ANOTHER STATISTIC. HE GIVES BACK TO HIS COMMUNITY I THINK HE IS A WONDERFUL YOUNG MAN .
