"I broke it down. I told them I wouldn't be assisting them financially anymore. Pretty much I was telling them I wouldn't be there. [In the past] they'd make a lot of money and spend a lot of money and have me there to fix it."
-- Platinum-selling thug rap icon 50 Cent on how he had to tighten the reins -- money-wise -- in his G-Unit camp. ('XXL')

they have to let go of his coat tail sooner or later and learn to make it on their own. this is something 50 had to do. he was overly generous.

He shouldn't have started it, I mean some people walk around with their hands open so much, they look like cups. You can't help everybody... I am glad that he was generous, but sometimes... you have to say enough is enough and too much is good for nothing.

I read that his grandparents who raised him after his drug dealing mother was murdered, are still living in the ghetto in a broken down house, barely able to make ends meet. Any truth to this? If it's so that should tell the world just the type of man 50 cent is.

This is good to hear a rapper has to cut off folks. Of course you have to cut off folks when you have arrived. Every black man that has grown up in the inner city has had it hard but their voices are never heard. Money is what is driving this world and cutting off people is how you become filthy rich. It is called being selfish today. I am only sorry I did not catch on earlier in my life that being selfish is the way to go. So we can understand 50 Cent cutting off people and support him even when he degrades our women.

Mobb Deep, MOP, Olivia, Lloyd Banks, Spider Loc, Mase...All but Tony Yayo (who can't even gift rap), and Young Buck...I think its a done deal for G-unit..
Rap, is flat-lining, its boring, its all copy cat, Every black rapper, is following the same play book..
Besides, people don't want to hear about all the killing and drug dealing..remember guys you can't sell drugs, without creating junkies, and distroying the future...

VJ Moore, It's true that his grandparents still live in that house but %0 upgraded it because they didn't want to move. It looks like a mini mansion now. I saw pictuers of it when he came on 106 and Park with Eminem.
As far as him financially supporting G-Unit, that's gotta stop. He busts his ass working hard, making CD's, Clothes, And coming through for all his other indorcements, he shouldn't have to take care of anyone except for his son.
The rest of them have to branch out or try to stand out, but I guess it's only one super star in every clan.

He taught them how to fish and he still spoiled them by preparing their meals. There should be no hard feelings from them. I've the streets talk about him being him not giving back (to his people), but when I see his artists wearing jewelry worth more than the income they made from their record sales. It don't add up. Given the opportunities these men and woman in his camp had, they should all be financially healthy.. Bottom line.
