Though it's not the cover of 'Essence' nor 'Ebony' magazines, Star Jones Reynolds plans to finally reveal the whole truth about her dramatic weight loss in the Sept. issue of 'Glamour' magazine.
"I wrote an article because I really wanted to go as in-depth as possible about the way I've changed physically over the last 10 years on the air," the former co-host of ABC's 'The View' said on Sunday, during a Court TV press conference for the Summer Television Critics Association Press Tour.
Reynolds, who drew ire from her critics when she described her whopping 100-pound-plus weight loss as a "medical intervention" said she has no qualms about viewing photos of herself when she was very super-sized.
"I actually like seeing the old pictures because what it says to me is, 'You never allow yourself to get there again,'" the 45-year-old member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. said. "It was dangerous to me. Very dangerous. I was killing myself."
"I thought that that would be the most effective way to answer everybody's questions," she explained about the feature, titled "Getting Over Myself."
Perfect timing considering that Court TV is going through its own metamorphosis: the network will be renamed truTV and move away from its traditional programming.
Kicking off the newness will be Reynold's eponymous talk show, titled 'Star Jones Show,' set to premiere Aug. 20. It's described by the network as a forum for criminal justice issues that intersect with the pop culture world.
On New Year's Day next year, the channel will be officially re-launched. Still offering court coverage for six hours a day, the Time Warner-owned network is also developing series on female bounty hunters in Miami, con artists and life-or-death rescues.

I never blogged before but i just couldnt let this one go. Star Jones look a GOTD@*M mess. She looks very unhealthy and unnatrractive. Her breast are saggy, her eyes look tired and she just looks sickly. Star jones need to gain at least 15 pounds so that her body can be proportiend to her rather large head. I dont understand why she think skinny is beautiful.

Well, to be honest I like Star and what she stands for. However, I really believe that the weight issue would have been a non issue i she would have been honest from the get go. Yeh, one can argue that it's none of anyone's business how she lost the weight. True that. I personally think that Star has joined the ranks of the fake bullshit community we call Hollywood. Everyday people ask themselves how did Star slim down? All Star had to do was be honest about her "medical intervention", but that's not what happened. I know that I don't have the cash flow that Star has, but it would be nice to see the posibilities that could be for plus size women who need the help be able to get that help. It starts with people being host with themselves.
I knew Star's "medical intervention" required her going under the knife. Because the nature of skin and fat works like tis: One can not go from 400+ pounds to a so called size 9/10 and have absolutely no excess skin what so ever. And if that is the case then Star is a medical miracle and needs to be studied or put in the book of world records as the "incredible shrinking no fat afterwards woman."
