The media continues its lurid love affair with Karrine Steffans.
The former music video actress turned best-selling authoress -- who blew the bed-sheets off of the hip-hop industry by exposing trysts with some of the genres biggest names -- is ready to do it again with her second explosive tome, 'The Vixen Diaries' -- in stores next month.
Since the first book's release, the Caribbean born beauty, affectionately known as "Superhead" by many -- and once known as Yizette Santiago -- was featured in a pre-memoir adult video with porn stud Mister Marcus, been romantically linked to HBO 'Real Time' host Bill Maher, hip-hop soul crooner Ne-Yo and rugged rapper Lil' Wayne.
And even Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx is all up in her mix.
Or so she says.
The Los Angeles based head-turner referred to the 'Dreamgirls' and 'Ray' star as a "male groupie" in an interview with essence.com
"I had a weird experience with Jamie Foxx with whom I have a long history with and we're cool," she revealed. "He was acting like he was in awe of me and I'm like, 'Yeah, right, you're the famous one and with an Oscar at that.'"
She got a little more candid about the Cash Money Records hit-maker Lil' Wayne though, saying she can't start or end her day without talking to him. "We don't necessarily talk on the phone, but we text each other all the time," she furthered. "It's a perfect relationship. He knows that no matter who he's with and vice versa, we love each other."
Regarding Ne-Yo, who is currently headlining the McDonald's Live tour, she brought clarity about their rumored relationship. "Ne-Yo and I are friends, but he's just not my type of person," she said. "I had to have a conversation with him because he thought that I had written a detailed description of our sex life in my book. Instead of asking me, he responded to a reporter's question in a tone that I didn't appreciate, implying that I'd been telling lies about our relationship. I never claimed him as my boyfriend. Once I told him he wasn't in my book, then he was cool."
During last month's Essence Music Festival, the chart-topping Def Jam crooner seemed to nopt mind the fodders of a relationship with Steffans, admitting that it helped downplay rumors of him being homosexual.
On the heels of the release of 'Confessions,' Steffans was lambasted by some celebrity/hero worshipping media types -- for her exposure of touchy and taboo topics (including hip-hop homosexuality, men who didn't live up to their egos, affairs with men who were "spoken for," etc. Throughout all of the mistreatment (specifically in the hip-hop media industry), the book continued to sell-out at retailers across the country.
Some in the publishing industry believe that Steffans -- who starred in 'A Man Apart' alongside Vin Diesel and Larenz Tate -- jump-started the new era of black tell-all tomes, which has become a new trend among the urban literature scene.
Earlier this year, Carmen Bryant, a former record company receptionist, who has a child with renowned rap lyricist Nas, wrote her memoir 'It's No Secret ' detailing hot and steamy sexual escapades with NBA star Allen Iverson, and hip-hop mogul Jay-Z.
Last month, Tarsha Nicole Jones, a former hip-hop soul singer turned notorious on-air radio personality known as Miss Jones, released her no-holds-barred page turner 'Have You Met Miss Jones?', in which she broke silence about rivalries with nationally syndicated shock jock Wendy Williams, and affairs with rap veterans Doug E. Fresh and Busta Rhymes.
About the reaction to her book -- which landed her on a prized spot on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' -- Steffans rationed that "at the end of the day, it's business not personal."
"I can't afford to ruin my professional life simply to save face with my friends," she continued, then added, "but I also don't want to lose my friends for the love of the almighty dollar, and I think I found a good balance with this book."

Her honesty concerning her sexual escapades is almost as
shocking
as the details of the acts themselves. Most women would cringe at
the idea of being exposed for their extreme lack of moral
judgement-having admitted to being so consistently sexually
irresponsible. Her next book should be a tell-all of how she's
managed to avoid serious repercussions, including life-threatening
diseases.

Actually, the story mediatakeout did is so fake. I got the same email from a friend back when Karrine's first book came out. Its suppose to be from interview she did. So I dont believe thats in her new book, I have the first one. And the writing styles are totally different.

Yeah i wonder how does she manage to "keep it tight" if you know what i mean. I have her 'Confessions' book and I think that the media overlooks a very important part, which is how she was abused mentally and physically by her mother and how her grandmother tried her best to protect her from the abuse until they moved off the island she lived on.

I hope she takes some of that money and gets some therapy, or finds the Lord. She is really a sad sister. I feel sorry for her and her son.

Am making a "BIG SPECTECUL ABOUT THIS ONE FOLKS"
This will reveal ALOT ABOUT OUR RACE
We complain, and complain, and complain, and point fingers when we feel attacked in our Society, but we support TRASH that represents the stereotype thought of us. Because Were clever beings.
If we make her book part of the New York Times bestseller list AGAIN, this will be "all out war" on my race. People call me HARSH, I believe in "airing dirty laundry". I believe in attacking the NEGATIVE OPENLY.
We try to link ourselves to the past, when we had a "am Black and am pride" mentality. I tell Black people that's "hog wash" we don't give a damn this day and age, and we need a "Shame for Change" approach.
This will be the deciding factor if that's true or not. Earlier this year some of our sisters who are CLEARLY not "hoes" where called "hoes". Now are we going to continue to support that "hoe" image, with GENERALIZES ALL OF US.
I tell my race our standards have sunk so Low, we have a don't care, lazy attitude and we don't have the right to complain. We don't have the FIGHTING SPIRIT for change attitude of the past. HMMMMMMM!!!!
We will see if she makes that List, We will truly be exposed.
READ IT AND LEAVE IT IN THE BOOKSTORE. Buy BOOTLEG

I don't care what anybody says, Karrine is getting that money. She is sexually expressive and sexually free and I actually admire her for keeping it real.
The words 'wrong' or 'sin' are primarily used by people who, for reasons of their own, want to control our behavior
~Jerry Minchinton
Karrine is not allowing the opinions and views of outsiders to deter doing what it is that she wants to do. No matter how tasteless she may seem to some, again, I admire here for sticking to a lifestyle that SHE finds acceptable for herself. I also think it's cool that she's exposing these celebrity men who talk so frequently about the women being "bitches" and "hoes." An excellent backlash, Karrine.
Furthermore, she is beautiful, an excellent writer, and she seems to be pretty knowledeable and well-read. No matter what anyone says about her, you simply cannot knock that woman's hustle.

#9 Aspiring Writer-------SHADE MY P0ST
You sound like a "fool", you choose to support a stereotype that is thought of us by Society.
Everything is about MONEY. You probably SELL YOUR MOTHER for enough money. Things like that come back to haunt you. Because it's not Positive Energy.
I can ROB YOU and make MONEY---Would that be OK??--IDIOT
You sound like a WOMEN SCORNED WITH NO BRAIN OR VISIONARY SKILLS--TO SEE THE NEGATIVE TRICKLE EFFECT, placed on our communities.
You speak about these MEN, should that be addressed? Or should we create TWO PROBLEMS INSTEAD OF HAVING JUST ONE??---SO WE REALLY LOOK OUT OF CONTROL AND ANIMALISTIC?
You sound like how OUR DAUGHTERS will sound NEXT GENERATION----WITHOUT INTERVENTION
AND AM THE INTERVENER
