The media continues its lurid love affair with Karrine Steffans.
The former music video actress turned best-selling authoress -- who blew the bed-sheets off of the hip-hop industry by exposing trysts with some of the genres biggest names -- is ready to do it again with her second explosive tome, 'The Vixen Diaries' -- in stores next month.
Since the first book's release, the Caribbean born beauty, affectionately known as "Superhead" by many -- and once known as Yizette Santiago -- was featured in a pre-memoir adult video with porn stud Mister Marcus, been romantically linked to HBO 'Real Time' host Bill Maher, hip-hop soul crooner Ne-Yo and rugged rapper Lil' Wayne.
And even Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx is all up in her mix.
Or so she says.
The Los Angeles based head-turner referred to the 'Dreamgirls' and 'Ray' star as a "male groupie" in an interview with essence.com
"I had a weird experience with Jamie Foxx with whom I have a long history with and we're cool," she revealed. "He was acting like he was in awe of me and I'm like, 'Yeah, right, you're the famous one and with an Oscar at that.'"
She got a little more candid about the Cash Money Records hit-maker Lil' Wayne though, saying she can't start or end her day without talking to him. "We don't necessarily talk on the phone, but we text each other all the time," she furthered. "It's a perfect relationship. He knows that no matter who he's with and vice versa, we love each other."
Regarding Ne-Yo, who is currently headlining the McDonald's Live tour, she brought clarity about their rumored relationship. "Ne-Yo and I are friends, but he's just not my type of person," she said. "I had to have a conversation with him because he thought that I had written a detailed description of our sex life in my book. Instead of asking me, he responded to a reporter's question in a tone that I didn't appreciate, implying that I'd been telling lies about our relationship. I never claimed him as my boyfriend. Once I told him he wasn't in my book, then he was cool."
During last month's Essence Music Festival, the chart-topping Def Jam crooner seemed to nopt mind the fodders of a relationship with Steffans, admitting that it helped downplay rumors of him being homosexual.
On the heels of the release of 'Confessions,' Steffans was lambasted by some celebrity/hero worshipping media types -- for her exposure of touchy and taboo topics (including hip-hop homosexuality, men who didn't live up to their egos, affairs with men who were "spoken for," etc. Throughout all of the mistreatment (specifically in the hip-hop media industry), the book continued to sell-out at retailers across the country.
Some in the publishing industry believe that Steffans -- who starred in 'A Man Apart' alongside Vin Diesel and Larenz Tate -- jump-started the new era of black tell-all tomes, which has become a new trend among the urban literature scene.
Earlier this year, Carmen Bryant, a former record company receptionist, who has a child with renowned rap lyricist Nas, wrote her memoir 'It's No Secret ' detailing hot and steamy sexual escapades with NBA star Allen Iverson, and hip-hop mogul Jay-Z.
Last month, Tarsha Nicole Jones, a former hip-hop soul singer turned notorious on-air radio personality known as Miss Jones, released her no-holds-barred page turner 'Have You Met Miss Jones?', in which she broke silence about rivalries with nationally syndicated shock jock Wendy Williams, and affairs with rap veterans Doug E. Fresh and Busta Rhymes.
About the reaction to her book -- which landed her on a prized spot on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' -- Steffans rationed that "at the end of the day, it's business not personal."
"I can't afford to ruin my professional life simply to save face with my friends," she continued, then added, "but I also don't want to lose my friends for the love of the almighty dollar, and I think I found a good balance with this book."

God help the men and women who slept with her and who slept with them because this woman is a walking time bomb. No one can't live this life and not pay the consequences. She better shut her mouth because someone is going to get pissed off and she might make front page news. She is a prostitute and that's about it. She will sell her soul to the highest bidder.

I'm looking back at the events surrounding the Rutgers ladies basketball team and the urgency we (Blacks) saw in having Imus fired. I feel as if we have taken 100 steps backwards in our fight to uplift the Black community. Or are we not doing that anymore? It saddens me that we go all out in support of complete nonsense. This woman is making a load of money off telling the world who she has slept with and how the act was for her. Why should we care to know that? There was a time in history when you kept your business to yourself. I must have missed that memo that was sent out changing the guidlines of what was considered "ladylike." Her actions are just a reflection of what has become acceptable in Black society. We encourage and promote the wrong things and we have no one to blame but ourselves for the downfall of the Black community. And we have the nerve to blame white Hollywood for why things have gone astray? And we wonder why AIDS is one of the top killers amongst our race? We know right from wrong and that book is so wrong on so many levels. We need to start taking responsibility for our actions, focusing in on the positive aspects of our people while enhancing on them and stop putting so much emphasis on mess like this. Do not buy this book. Go out and buy a book that's going to enable you and make you a better person. Buy a book that you can learn something positive from and use what you learned to help those around you. Knowing who this woman slept with and what they did together is not going to help you move up any kind of ladder.

Females like this one are the reason women will never be fully respected.

I think the biotch is lyin. I can't see nobody wantin to sleep with her raggedy azz. I really don't see how she made it in the music biz with that busted weave on her head. It just goes to show that the black female has become the loose hoe the world thinks we are. I guess she is makin money off of that age old stereotype.

Forgive me, but all bets are off...
I just read the stories on Mediatakeout.com. And I
Need someone to tell me, when did this SLUTT have time
to write a Book????????????? This Bitch, has fucked
damn near everyone in the Rap Industry. I hope this
Ho, has had her pussy checked. And vice versa with
Those nasty ass entertainers that she had sex with.
Dont be surprised if the Whole damn industy is infected
because of this Bitch.. But I aint mad at her ass. I do
hope that Ho engaged in safe sex with these Men and
Women. But again, I ask when did she have time to
write? Personally,if I had fucked half of these
trifling ass niggers she claimed to have had sex with, I
wouldnt be bragging about it in a book... What if one
of these niggas comes up HIV/positive. Then What? and
Look at the long list of people she slept with, its
almost sure that a few are questionable. God help her
and the rest of you people that dont have control over
your hormones... This is a sad day in African American
America.... SAD, SAD,SO SAD... Words cannot express how
Sad. I am truely embarrassed to be Black !!!!

Thank you for taking the time out to respond to my comment, Just Saying. I'm not going to bother to address the names that you called me because, you're entitled to think and say whatever you please as this is a public blog. Regarding the other parts of your comment, all I can say is what I wrote about Karrine is just my opinion, the opinion that I have a right to have (just like your very poorly, very childishly stated one). No, I'm not money driven, but obviously Karrine is and there is nothing wrong with that. Accept differences in the world. Your view of what is good and right and moral and that of someone else's may be entirely different. Be a little more open minded for the sake of you and your community, because whether you like it or not what Karrine is doing is what a lot women are doing and have been doing since the beginning of time. They may not do it in her same fashion, but they do it nonetheless. I'm not perpetuating stereotypes, I'm speaking on what's going on from how I see it, from where I came from and how I grew up. If you see it differently that's perfectly fine. Just know, your opinion is not "right" no more than mine is. If you really want to be smart, open your mind up a little more. I never said what she is doing is right or wrong, I said that I respect what she's doing because she's doing it for HER and her only. Imagine that; living in a world not altering yourself because somebody else think you should.
