Has Toni Braxton hit the skids again?
The formerly bankrupt diva is being sued by a fashion designer for bouncing a check on him.
According to TMZ, wardrobe designer Anthony Franco was commissioned by Braxton and Liberty Entertainment, Inc. to design the entire wardrobe for Braxton's Las Vegas show, "Toni Revealed."
According to court documents filed last week, Franco claims they agreed on a price of $35,000. He alleges that he received payment by check, which was returned for "insufficient funds." He then alleges the defendants put a stop payment on the check.
Franco claims he was eventually paid $20,000, but there is still $15,000 hanging in the balance.
Braxton's show at the Flamingo Hotel began last year and is still going strong.
Brad Cafarelli, Braxton's last known publicist, told The BV Newswire that he is no longer representing Braxton
When probed whether he had a similar financial dispute with the 'Unbreak My Heart' singer, he diplomatically replied "no."
Hmmm.
The Severn Maryland-born chanteuse has had a career plagued by as much scandal as she had success. The recipient of six Grammy Awards, Braxton filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection from a reported $3.9 million debt in 1988. The married mother of two (her eldest son Diezel was diagnosed with autism), she recently made the news for a mudslinging lawsuit with her former manager and record company head Barry Hankerson -- for "fraud, deception and double dealing."

I certainly hope things work out for Toni Braxton. Give her a break, it is not like she is throwing around money, she has a lot to contend with. You know what is being said about those money hungry managers, who don't care whose money they take. And in Las Vegas, she is having to work extra hard to make her money to keep her family taken care of. She has been taken advantage of by music folks for years and you know that, we all do. I am praying for her and her family.

Where is her husband? Does he even have a job? If he doesn't, he better step up to the plate and take care of the homefront. If he does have a job, he might need a second one to supplement their income.

It is sad this talent singer is known to have money problems. She should do a better job in surrounding herself with better people and learn the financial side of the business better.

Maybe the stem of her problems are deeper than it appears on the surface. She was encouraged by her family, in particularly her parents, to consider using her gift for the Lord way back in the beginning of her career. Obviously, she thought the better of it and went her own way. It may be time to think about giving the gift back to who gave it to her.

Whoever this Franco person is is just after Toni's money cause he just heard about her fat pay check from the Flamingo from extending her run there for another six months! I has nothing to do with Toni not being careful about the people she's around! It amazes me that he tends to bring up the lawsuit so very late when Toni has been in Vegas for a WHOLE YEAR! HE IS ALL ABOUT THAT MONEY.

TONI HAS A SRECIAL CHILD SHE TAKES CARE OF. THAT TAKES LOTS OF MONEY. HER CHILD COMES FIRST.IF SHE HAS MONEY PROBLEMS, HER CHILD COMES FIRST. YOU CAN ALWAYS GET MORE MONEY.

EVERYONE HAS MADED BAD JUDGEMENT AT TIMES BUT WITH TONI I BELEIVE THAT SHE IS VERY VERY WORRIED ABOUT HER CHILD AND IF THE SICKNESS HE HAS TAKE ALOT OF NOT ONLY MONEY BUT TIME TOO AND SHE DOESNOT HAVE VERY MUCH OF EITHER ONE AT THIS POINT SO TONI KEEP YOUR HEAD UP HIGH AND GOD WILL SEE YOU THROUGH ALL OF THIS GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS.

Umm actually I thought it was her youngest son who had autism. If she's still working at the Flamingo then the guy should get his money, sometimes famous people don't handle their finances so he should've just handled it like a man instead trying to put her on front!
