Timbaland plans to go into uncharted territory with his work on Madonna's forthcoming album.
The hip-hop super-producer, who crafted chart-topping hits for blue-eyed soul singers Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, is ready to use his old black magic on the old pop diva -- also known as the "Mother of Reinvention."
"We just did Madonna's record," the Virginia native told MTV . "Me and Justin did the records for the album," which he said is near full completion.
"She's great. ... She's got a hot album. Her album is up there with Justin's album."
Timbaland and Timberlake wrote and produced 10 songs for the new Madonna project, most of which Tim assures are certified hits.
"Ah, man," he gushed. "There's this one song, we taking it back to 'You must be my luck-eee starrrr!' ... Remember 'Ugly' by Bubba Sparxxx? I got a beat similar to that. The hook is no words. It's saying stuff named after coffee - all these different names for coffee - is the hook. ... The name of the song is 'La, La.' Pharrell did a hot one for her too called 'Candy Shop.' She's off the chain."
Will songs about coffee and candy shops do the trick for the declining diva?
You never know.
Prince's song about a guitar landed him major kudos and a fat deal with Verizon.
So anything's possible -- especially for the 49-year-old icon.
After Madge's last record, 'Confessions on a Dance Floor,' failed to generate a memorable hit amidst a flurry of the usual media attention given to her.
Maybe, just maybe with Timbaland and Timberlake at the wheel, she'll have hotter fate.

I have been a Madonna fan since the early 80's and one thing is for sure,she knows how to keep it movin, as in her career. Madonna is a very smart woman and her longevity is mostly due to her ability to keep reinventing herself and appealing to younger audiences. otherwise she would not have enlisted the colaboration of T-lake and T-Land. I know that this project will be a huge success for her. GO MADGE!

You're only as old as you feel!The DIVA,still looks nice! whenever you get thru blasting her!And to top it off,her voice is just as smooth,with her #1CD in 40 countries!!So what's the point in digging her early DEMESS,when she has ARRISED!! lol

I did some research on Madonna just now and found out she is definitely the most successful female artist (living or dead)! Yes it is true, her last album, Confessions On A Dance Floor was a smash globally! It hit number 1 in 42 countires total! Nobody ever in the music business has ever done that! Her last tour was the most successful ever by a female artist! She has had more top 10 hits on billboard than anybody else other than Elvis Presley (she is tied with him)! She has sold over 250 million units to date! Incredible to say the least! At least she isn't one of those ignorant musicians who do nothing for the sake minorities. She has included blacks, gays, latinos etc in her work/art since the beginning of her career and I applaud her for that! She deserves RESPECT!!!!!

Erm, whoever is the journalist that wrote this "article" should do their research on the massive success that Confessions On A Dance Floor was. She hardly needs any "rescuing". The album sold over 8 million copies worldwide, Hung Up is one of her most successful singles of all time (it went #1 in 41 countries, was a top ten hit in the U.S. that sold nearly 1 million copies--platinum), the album was critically acclaimed by music critics and won a Grammy, the tour for the album (The Confessions Tour -- which had a setlist mostly of Confessions songs instead of oldies hits) grossed $195 million and was the highest grossing tour for a female EVER. She's a much bigger a star than Timberlake and Timbaland combined.

DUDE!!! YOU NEED TO DO YOUR RESEACH BEFORE YOU COMMENT!!! Are you even familiar with pop music bruh???? Madonna's "Confessions..." Produced 3 hot singles. "Hung up" was number 1 in 45 countries going on to be one of the most sucessful singles of all times. It is considered one of the 4 most sucessful singles since 1999 by the united world chart. This single made her 36th top 10...tying her with Elvis. # 1 on billboard dance/club play and # 7 on the hot 100 chart. A sold out world concert off 1 single. Broaden you mind man and do you reseach before comments as such are made. WE'RE READING THIS STUFF EXPECTING FACTS AND WHEN OPINION IS GIVING IT IS EXPECTED TO BE NOTED. Madonna isn't some little recording artist that just sells in the US...lol Her "flops" would rival the average recording artist's record sells.

who ever article doesnt know what the hell he is talking bout...confessions sold close to 2mill her alone and hungup went top 10 and thats great for a european dance flavored cd in the us and who the hell still sells 10millions cds nowadays anyway..those days are long gone..ALL HAIL THE QUEEN

Hey Timbaland, how about trying to save the careers of some black artists. First you "rescue" Nelly Furtado's career, then you willingly volunteer to "save" Brittany Spears' career, then you tripped over yourself to work on Paris Hilton's next album, and now you are "resuscitating" Maddona's career.
Until you start salvaging some black artists careers you are "The New O.J." brother.
