Platinum-plated rap icon T.I. has a small but notable part in the upcoming Ridley Scott drug-trade drama 'American Gangster' – which stars Academy Award winner Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, Cuba Gooding Jr., and rappers Common and The Rza.
But the 'Big Things Poppin' rapper, currently sending audiences into a frenzy on the nationwide 'Screamfest '07' tour, will be getting more shine with a co-starring role in a film called 'Once Was Lost' opposite acclaimed thespian Danny Glover.
The Atlanta born native -- who had a break-out role in last year's 'A.T.L.' -- is also attached to a picture called 'For Sale,' which will be produced by his own Grand Hustle production company.

I will not support another rapper selling me out by playing a drug or gang related role in a movie. We as a people are much more than that.I am a familiy man. An honest man. A strong, got your back kind of man. We are more than just thugs and criminals. My thoughts are on this video. Please take the time to review my thoughts on the impact of the gangsta rap culture on the black community. You may distribute at will.

I am with the rest of Black America! I was very shocked to have learned about Jena 6 while watching A Bill Maher episode. until then I was completely in the dark. What pisses me off the most is that every where you look and read we here of Kanye vs. 50, T.I. and his new movie, Beyonce this, just everything other than what is important RIGHT NOW. What people fail to realize is that history is not of the past. There are things going on in our communities, cities, in our homes and neighborhoods that will be talked about in the future amongst our children. I'd rather be that someone who did something. At least talk about it, and try to make a change. I've tried googling the event and to no avail. What type of shit is that? You can find anything on the net but something as important as this is left unheard, unseen! America could care less about our Black asses. What bothers me the most is that there is a republican panel coming up very soon (Sept.27th) and 3 candidates aren't showing up. That raises an eyebrow with me. I believe that john mccain, rudy guilliani, and someone else are the three. I did not capitalize there names because if we (Black Americans) aren't important enough to listen and address issues with than their really not important enough to be taken seriously. By the way the panel will be held in front of a majority Black audience. If you didn't know I hope you know and take this information and with it what you will. Say something, Anything, don't just stand there. And if all you do is stand then make sure its for something STAND FOR SOMETHING!
