The estranged husband of battered televangelist Juanita Bynum is back in stride again.
According to published reports, Bishop Thomas W. Weeks, III didn't miss a beat during Sunday service -- two days after turning himself into Atlanta authorities for assaulting his wife -- and was met by cheers and applause from parishioners at the Global Destiny Ministries.
Good God Almighty.
Weeks said the devil was behind his current situation, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper, and also expressed appreciation for the prayers and support he and his wife have received.
As previously reported by The BV Newswire, police said Weeks assaulted the Pentecostal Prophetess during an argument on Aug. 21 outside of an Atlanta hotel.
After a media frenzy ensued about the near fatal attack, Weeks surrendered to Atlanta police Friday morning. Bond was set at $30,000 on a charge of aggravated assault and $10,000 on a charge of terroristic threats, and a magistrate ordered Weeks to have no contact with Bynum or her sister, Tina Culpepper.
But that didn't stop him from tending to his business affairs at the church he founded in Atlanta.
"We've got certain things going on right now, but I refuse to stop coming to the house God built," he reportedly said during his brief appearance before introducing a guest minister and leaving the room.
Members of his congregation didn't mind talking to the newspaper about their feelings about the controversial scandal.
"There are three sides to every story," said frequent visitor Shannon Mayers. "Nobody has the right to judge anybody. God is in the midst of that and will work it out."
Meanwhile, 26-year-old Maurice Adams said he was disappointed to hear the news but still considers Weeks his bishop. "We all make mistakes. He deserves another opportunity," Adams said. "I'm hurt, but I do respect him for being man enough to show his face today."
Weeks is due in Fulton County Superior Court on Sept. 7.

A few days ago, I was meditating with the Lord regarding the present issue of domestic violence facing Sister Bynum from Brother Week's assault. I'm not going to pump either of them up in the Lord. I’d encourage Brother Weeks, 'humble yourself and pray.' Do not blame the devil for your actions. The devil can not make you do anything. The Bible speaks about a person's destruction will come when he or she is "enticed and drawn away by their own lust." To Sister Bynum, it appears you have taken your eyes off the Lord, and put the focus on yourself. Two weeks ago, I watched a program where I felt you were giving yourself the 'glory.' Stop exalting yourself, and talking about how great you are. The next week, the Lord exposed both Sister Bynum and Brother Weeks with the consequences of domestic violence. The word from the Lord is: "Thus saith the Lord, REPENT!" Turn from your wicked ways. The eyes of the Lord are upon this earth. Remember, Christ is on the throne!! Christ says he will not share His glory with another!! God is good! I would encourage both Sister Bynum and Brother Weeks to step down from leadership for a ‘season’ and spend it 'with the King of Kings, the Lord Jesus.' How can we make it happen to remove Bishop Weeks and others like him from pulpits? Yes, God uses people who are available such as He did with Moses, David, and others in the Bible. The best example is when Paul got knocked 'off his horse' on his way to Damascus. Check out what the Bible says in 1 Corinthians Chapter 6, Verses 1-6. In this chapter Paul clearly explains what happens when there is immorality in the church. So, do not think it strange when two or more witnesses are speaking out regarding many 'spiritual' perspectives concerning this issue. Listen I don't care how much people try to act like just because they confess salvation, that they have it all together.Under the right amount of pressure ANYONE will turn into something else, do something contrary to what they believe. All of us have the potential to be murders, whores, theives, liars.....under the right amount of pressure or circumstance you will probably do the same thing.,...whoop somebody's tail...and the church said Ya Man!

(1ST TIMOTHY 3:2-7;A BISHOP THEN MUST BE BLAMELESS, SOBER, OF GOOD BEHAVIOR,NO STRIKER,NOT A BRAWLER,NOT COVETOUS.ONE THAT RULETH WELL HIS OWN HOUSE.(FOR IF A MAN CAN'T RULE HIS OWN HOUSE, HOW CAN HE TAKE CARE OF THE CHURCH OF GOD)HE MUST HAVE A GOOD REPORT LEST HE FALL INTO REPROACH) AS CHRISTIANS WE CANNOT CONDONE WRONGFUL ACTS, NOR SHOULD WE BE AFRAID TO HOLD THOSE THAT ARE IN HIGH PLACES ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS. THE BIBLE SAYS WE ARE TO JUDGE RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT(JOHN 7:24) IF ACCORDING TO THE WORD ITS WRONG THEN WE SHOULD GOVERN OURSELVES BY THE WORD AND HOLD IT THERE. THE DEVIL USES WHAT HE HAS ACCESS TO, IF IN ME IS A DESIRE TO FIGHT, LIE, CHEAT, STEAL, KILL THE DEVIL HAS THE AMMONITION HE NEEDS TO USE AND EXPLOIT ME. JESUS SAID THE PRINCE OF THIS WORLD COMETH AND HATH NOTHING IN ME(JOHN 14:30) THANK GOD, WE CAN OVERCOME OUR SINFUL FLESHLY DESIRES THROUGH CHRIST.

In my opinion any group of people who would stand up and applaud a man who beat the snot out of his wife a couple of days prior are a bunch of IDIOTS! And obviously the person who said it was her fault because she was nagging him must be getting her ass kicked as we speak, otherwise she couldn't say anything so stupid.
And once again, this isn't the gospel, it is just my opinion.

Certainly we are all guilty of sin and it's only by GOD's grace that we are allowed to repent and start anew
but there's no excuse for savage beating of his wife by
Bishop Weeks. He say the devil made him do it but GOD's love in his heart should made him think before reacted. He got caught up in prestige, power, money, egotism, and ecetera, of which can all be sinful it not handled properly and that's what made him do it but our great GOD will forgive him it he truly repents. He should consider if this was him mother, sister, or aunt and how he would feel. I think he should donate some funds and volunteer at a women's shelter. I acknowledge that his wife made have gotten caught up in some of the same sins but there is never a excuse for any man whether Christian or not to hit a female. They both should take sabaticals away from the pulpit immediately.

we as christians are so missing the mark,we judge we curse and say we are christians God must be thinking why did i even bother creating man they didnt get it from the beginning and we still dont get it today, this whole thing is about GODS love and forgiviness for our sins through his son CHRIST JESUS. He who is without sin cast the first stone, you take care of your business and let GOD take care of his ,please believe GOD has it covered. lets just make sure that we are saved and set apart and pray for others instead of flapping our gums, everyone who wrote and judged and say your a christian REPENT NOW!

If this man is suppose to be one of the leaders, then I question the sanity of his followers because it's obvious his steps are not ordered by the Lord. You have to be crazy to continue to heed this man's counsel because he is clearly a FOOL!!
