Just as us media buffs were readying the much-delayed child pornography trial of Grammy Award winner R. Kelly to start on Sept. 17 -- plans have nixed once again.
The five year-old charges have been postponed.
Cook County Judge Vincent Gaughan said today that the jury selection will not begin on Sept. 17 as scheduled, reported the Chicago Sun-Times.
"We are not going to be going to trial the 17th of September," he said.
No reason was given.
No future date has been announced.
Whoa.
TMZ.com reported that there's a gag order in the case -- and that there's a hearing scheduled for Sept. 10.
Meanwhile, Kelly's latest album 'Double Up' has been certified platinum since being released May 29.
And his latest brainchild 'Trapped in the Closet: The Movie' (all 22 chapters) will premiere on IFC TV September 7 at 9pm ET/11pm PT.

He's still going to get his. Satan has him thinking that he's getting away with being wicked, but God says this about him and the wicked in general.
Ecclesiastes 8:11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

Why don't they just dismiss this case?! Isn't thier a mandate in the criminal justice system that states that those accused of a crime have the right to a speedy trial? Or did they cut it out kind of like the "innoccent, until proven guilty" part.

If it was a white male urinating on a black female teenager, I'm quite sure that Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson and the other so-called black leaders would have been raising all types of chaos. Where are they now? A grown ass man/pedophile (on video tape)had sex with a minor and then urinated on her! If the public supports Robert Kelly, then they need to support all pedophiles. By the way, I am a black male. I understand that in this country, we are innocent until proven guilty. But when you're on tape having sex with an underage female and urinating on her, then you are guilty. Remember, President Bush #1 saw the video tape of Rodney King being unlawfully beaten by police officers, he publicly said that those officers are guilty simply by viewing the tape and months before they went to trial. Videos do not lie. R. Kelly committed statutory rape. Supporting him is to support pedophiles. The only difference between Robert Kelly and Michael Jackson is that Michael likes minor boys and Robert likes minor girls. Whose worse?
