Was 50 Cent 'Poison' -- as Bell Biv DeVoe once sang? I ask because Vivica A. Fox, who I consider one of the better actresses of her time, can't seem to catch a break since her whirlwind love affair with the thug rap icon. All of her latest films seem to go straight to DVD (with no or very little fanfare) and now there are reports that her anticipated guest-starring role on HBO's wildly popular 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' has sent the ratings into the toilet. The season premiere of the Larry David-helmed comedy - which co-starred the 'Kill Bill' actress as a displaced Hurricane survivor -- reportedly earned its worst ratings for a season opener in the show's six-year history, averaging 1.2 million viewers at 10 p.m. Sunday. I hope that the 'Dancing with the Stars' finalist, who is set to star alongside Jessica Simpson and ex-'Girlfriends' star Jill Marie Jones in 'Major Movie Star' next year, can have better fate in the near future.
With his new movie, 'Why Did I Get Married?,' set for release just a month away, Tyler Perry has launched an online TV network to showcase his own content, including a new talk show. Move over BET! "Part of being an artist is learning how to engage and empower my audience--my fans--with my art," Perry said in a statement. "My art is an extension of my life. I knew I wanted to create, tailor and build an Internet TV channel as a part of that extension." Titled TPTV, the Narrowstep-powered 24-hour channel will be available through his website and offer exclusive access to the forthcoming 'Tyler Perry Show.'
Academy Award nominated actor Don Cheadle has been cast in the film adaptation of Lois Duncan's 1971 children's book, 'Hotel for Dogs, which follows two orphaned teenagers who hide dozens of stray dogs in an abandoned hotel. Variety reports that the DreamWorks live-action project stars Julia Roberts' niece Emma Roberts as one of the orphaned teens, while the 'Hotel Rwanda' star plays a beleaguered social worker. The film, which begins shooting in November, marks Thor Freudenthal's feature directorial debut.

50 Cent did destroy her career as an actress,but she has been doing some producing. Hopefully she'll recover. We can't wait to see you on the big screen again, Viv. God bless you and your career.

Yes do believe he hurt her career. When I saw her with him I must admit I too was thrown way off! and actually lost some respect for her for dancing on that stage like that! It has hurt her career, however in her defense I saw the show and she was really good!

Yeah I thought that was a bad move because it casted her in a very negative light. No woman with any kind of class would deal with a man like 50, and that's why everybody was scratching their heads like WTF? But the girl's got talent and I am sure she'll come back. Her performance in "Soul Food" and the show "City of Angels" is proof she's capabale of great things.

Vivicas careeer was floudering BEFORE 50 Cent, and I think she started dating him to get people talking about her again, but it backfired.

What also hurt Vivica is all that plastic surgery. She looks a mess. I have no problem with a little nip/tuck here and there but that lypo is the devil. She is starting to look like Lil Kim!!! Leave that mess to the white folks!!!!!! We as black folks age very gracefully all we need are the essentials; exercise, plenty of water, a good night's rest, healthy diet and a positive outlook and we will age gracefully!!!!
