Was 50 Cent 'Poison' -- as Bell Biv DeVoe once sang? I ask because Vivica A. Fox, who I consider one of the better actresses of her time, can't seem to catch a break since her whirlwind love affair with the thug rap icon. All of her latest films seem to go straight to DVD (with no or very little fanfare) and now there are reports that her anticipated guest-starring role on HBO's wildly popular 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' has sent the ratings into the toilet. The season premiere of the Larry David-helmed comedy - which co-starred the 'Kill Bill' actress as a displaced Hurricane survivor -- reportedly earned its worst ratings for a season opener in the show's six-year history, averaging 1.2 million viewers at 10 p.m. Sunday. I hope that the 'Dancing with the Stars' finalist, who is set to star alongside Jessica Simpson and ex-'Girlfriends' star Jill Marie Jones in 'Major Movie Star' next year, can have better fate in the near future.
With his new movie, 'Why Did I Get Married?,' set for release just a month away, Tyler Perry has launched an online TV network to showcase his own content, including a new talk show. Move over BET! "Part of being an artist is learning how to engage and empower my audience--my fans--with my art," Perry said in a statement. "My art is an extension of my life. I knew I wanted to create, tailor and build an Internet TV channel as a part of that extension." Titled TPTV, the Narrowstep-powered 24-hour channel will be available through his website and offer exclusive access to the forthcoming 'Tyler Perry Show.'
Academy Award nominated actor Don Cheadle has been cast in the film adaptation of Lois Duncan's 1971 children's book, 'Hotel for Dogs, which follows two orphaned teenagers who hide dozens of stray dogs in an abandoned hotel. Variety reports that the DreamWorks live-action project stars Julia Roberts' niece Emma Roberts as one of the orphaned teens, while the 'Hotel Rwanda' star plays a beleaguered social worker. The film, which begins shooting in November, marks Thor Freudenthal's feature directorial debut.

Vivica is still out there doing her thing. She's touring the country in a stageplay called "Whatever She wants". If it comes to your city, check it out. I saw it during it's opening week in Philly and it was good. Not only did she star in it, she was a producer too.

Okay, while I'm not one of 50 Cent's biggest fans.
I can't blame him for her actions. She is a grown woman who in fact is older than he is. She knew who he was and what he was about when she started seeing him. It's because of his negative image that everyone wants to blame him, but when he first came at her on that awards show (not sure which one BET or MTV) as he was about to present an award on national television, with his compliment on her dress and the look on her face was
saying, "I'm going to get him" and she did, it just didn't work out to her advantage, and why? It's because he was and still is too immature for a grown woman.

I've always been a huge fan of Ms. Fox's. It's hard to fathom that she's been offered alot less work because of her past relationship w/a rapper. It made me feel a little sad for her that she felt her facial surgery was necessary but, in a market where youth reigns supreme she must have felt she needed to do it. Her acting skills have never lacked anything though - very talented. I hope the future holds nothing but good and wonderful things, Ms. Fox.
Mr. Perry is just a powerhouse! Bottom line. There's no telling how far his success can take him. So excited for him and proud of him....
Don Cheadle is a psychologically deep man. I've listened to him interview and he's extremely intelligent. Love the way he chooses roles that often times mean something to the world at large- no petty actor here. Continued success to you and God bless!

Vivica is hurting her own career with the unneeded cosmetic surgery she has had as well as her attitude, which stinks. Someone who was once humble, has not surfaced with unimaginable expectations of others.

50 is not the cause of her down slide. first of all she is a grown woman and an older one, so when she decided to be with 50 she knew what she was doing. here is this guy straight from the hood and admitted to being a drug dealer and she went for him. everyone breaks up at one time or another, so i don't see the big deal with their break up. it didn't out work so she has to just move on. what is ruining her career is all that plastic work she has been having. i use to think she was so pretty when i saw her in booty call. her weave was a little tacky but she was very pretty. she needs to grow old gracfully and leave that plastic surgery alone.

Can anyone give me the full dirty details of what actually caused Vivica & 50 Cent's break-up. I'm not trying to start any drama, it's just that one day they were together & then later on they were broken up. And I didn't & still don't know the reason why. Someone was talking about 50 Cent had a restraining order on her. I want 2 know what's that about?

Good luck Vivica. Next time leave those loser rap artists alone. They do not mean any good to any women with stule and class. All they want to do is demean and destroy the black women so that they can have someone that is lower on the totem pole than they are. 50 cent should be ashamed of himself. I know his mother did not raise him to be the kind of man he is. Why can't he just sing those silly rap songs, make his money, and go home or go to jail.
