Media outlets are having a field day of this widely reported tabloid story that black Spice Girls member-turned-Eddie Murphy's latest baby's mother Melanie Brown left their newborn daughter with the hired help to head to Las Vegas to get hitched.
Star magazine reports that Tonia Lamere says Mel B left young Angel Iris Murphy Brown with her while she eloped to Sin City with new hubby Stephen Belafonte.
"One evening of baby-sitting turned into four days!" she revealed. "The child was sick, there was no nanny, and when Mel called, she never even asked about the baby."
Move over Britney Spears.
"Melanie is a hands-on mother completely dedicated to the upbringing of her children and the well-being of her entire family," her flack said, trying to quell the story. "Any fictitious accusations to the contrary stem from greedy people looking to make a buck."
Let's hope that is true.

I think people should leave Mel-B alone Eddie new that that was his baby when she first got knocked-up he was all in, and as soon as he thought something better came along he dumped her, he should be ashsamed of himself. I expected a lot more from him. I used to be a fan now I don't think i can support his work since he can't support his kids. And if the baby was sick he should have been there just as much as Mel-B but then again people always forget that the father has just as much to do with a child as the mother.

Could have been worse, she could have taken her to Vegas and left her in a hotel room alone while she and her new husband went out to dinner and to the casino.

Can we focus on the really lousy examples these brotha's (i.e. Eddie, Diddy, & that guys who's got 9 kids by I-don't-know-how-many different woman) are setting??? Thanks guys. This makes for a lovely picture for all the young brotha's that think life is gangsta rap & callin women bitches & hoes.

And what were all these women doing while these no good baby-making men were poking them???? If these men are no good, why do these intelligent upstanding women keep popping out their babies then complaining about their absent daddys???? Protect yourselves or shut the hell up!!!!
