He's not a name usually associated with political causes but Bobby Brown will reportedly join a long list of hip-hop-centric performers for a concert aiming to raise awareness about the JENA SIX controversy.
The 'My Prerogative' singer (and ex-husband of Whitney Houston) is slated to appear alongside Nick Cannon, Lloyd, Baby Boy, Sean P, Twista, Tank, Jagged Edge, Killer Mike and Hurricane Chris at the "Jena 6 Empowerment Concert," to be held in Birmingham, Alabama on Sept. 29
According to published reports, organizers of the event are hoping it will raise national awareness of the incidents surrounding the case, in which six African-American teens appear to be victims of a racially biased judicial system.

It is sad to see the biggot remarks in this discussion. Why does everything have to be black against white? We would make more progress if we all would embrace our differences and live together peacefully. There are enough people outside of America that want to bring us down without regard to skin color. It is a time where we need to be color blind and support each other in the bigger picture or we just may be living the Chinese or Iranian dream instead of the American dream. @ # 80 first of all they did not beat anybody up.. that noose is a reflection of slavery and how racist whites used to kill blacks by hanging them from trees.
Those white boys used that noose as a threatning symbol and by law anybody who feels threatned has the right to defend themselves.
And people wanan call it attemptede murder thats bullshit.. i kno 1st hand how racism and racial prejudice can infuriate black people.. if they wanted to kill them boys they would be dead.
And you ust contradicted yourself.. you said we put other black people down well you just put us down for taking a interest in a problem that has haunted our people for over 4oo years.. its still the same problem even though its wrapped in a different package this time.
