A former chart-topping hip-hop artist recording music in South Africa does sound a tad bit ambitious. But when the same rapper gets robbed while over, that's a dog's mess.
A South African newspaper is reporting that Keith Murray was robbed while in the country to record a new track, and is now offering a reward for the return of his stolen items.
According to published reports, two armed men entered the Cube recording studios in Parkview, South Africa at about 10 p.m. Tuesday and held up the former Jive Records rapper and several other people inside. The intruders reportedly got away with four laptops, cell phones and cash.
What a way to go out in The Motherland.
Best known for his 1994 single 'The Most Beautifullest Thing in This World,' the Central Islip, New York native has had a dodgy history of criminal activity and even served time in jail after becoming hood rich.
He alleges that because of this current incident, he was robbed of "the last 12 years of his work," which had been saved on one of the stolen Apple Mac computers.

Thats what Keith Murray gets when you go way out there where it is very poor. Why go so far to record a track when you can do it here in the USA. I guess it was suppose to be much cheaper there and in the long run it cost him more and it could of been his life. I dont feel sorry for him and I bet he learned a lesson that he can rap about.

Its a shame that black people cant get anything done without another black man/woman out to get them. From the USA to Africa, its all the same and that is, no matter how you look at it a Shame

I really don't know why everyone is so surprised. We see in the news everyday about these people are killing and robbing each other, why would we be immune to the violence? They come over here and do the same thing and i for one am sick of it. We're so busy busy trying to protect our own, when our own are the very ones doing us in. Its time to start snitching on these bitches!!

People on here are assuming the robbers were Black. There are of course White people in S. Africa, people from India, and others. Don't assume that criminals are all Black people.

As a South Africa living here - it is sad that our country has to be shamed this way yet again internationally. The reality is that there is blinding poverty in our country and a high unemployment rate which leads people to crime. HOWEVER - this is no excuse . There are a number of people in South Africa that have risen above their circumstances and did not have to resort to crime. There is more severe poverty in other African countries where people don't commit these serious crimes. The problem is people do not complete their education - ignorance then breeds the beliefs that crime will pay. Ultimately it doesn't - no matter where you live in the world.
But hey - I'll take a robbery over getting bombed in Iraq any day !

Carl Dawson, who told you it was poor in africa? not all parts are dirt poor like what you see on tv. trust and believe, if keith murray was in a part of africa where there is a studio for him to record in, he wasnt in the poor part of africa. It doesnt really matter where he is, that doesnt make it right for him to get robbed.

"We come together to live, teach and preach
love, unity and equality to all believers in Christ Jesus..."
Our Mission and Purpose
1. Our desire is to do and teach just what the word of God says from the bible, without imposing our own presuppositions and preconceptions into His word.
2. We are experiencing the bible in our everyday lives, not just knowing the word. The bible, the word of God, the scriptures, we highly value it.
3. We believe that the bible is the very written word of God, and that it is absolutely reliable for all matters pertaining to life.
4. Rather than just joining a church or ministry and going through the motions. The desire of our hearts more than anything else, is to grow to look like Jesus, to get involved at Bishop James R Winfree Ministries. To get involved in growth, change, and relationships with other believers here in the USA and worldwide.
5. We here at Bishop James R Winfree Ministries place our priority upon openness and flexibility, believing that such climate is conducive to personal relational and spiritual growth. We are loosely structured to allow room for the Holy Spirit change and His freshness and God's innovations.
6. We come together to live, teach and preach love, unity and equality to all believers in Christ Jesus, to celebrate God's goodness and faithfulness. We are here for the encouragement, teaching and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ building up the body of Christ.
7. We are here to support and have loving churches in our communities that live, believe and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ and teach unity and equality for all believers in the faith.
8. We know and believe that every believer in Christ Jesus has something of value to offer to this ministry and to each other this is where we are maturing in all areas of our lives spiritually as we give of ourselves and support to help others in the faith.
9. We are first of all believers in Christ Jesus striving to make Jesus central in our lives. He is Lord of His Church, and it is around Him that our mission and purpose revolve.
10. The Holy Spirit has a rich diversity of believers from all ethnic, educational and socio-economic backgrounds. He has also brought about unity and equality that communicates warmth and acceptance to all who join in His fellowship.
11. We believe that in Jesus Christ’s church which is His true Body, there should be no believer in need.
12. Our Lord said in Luke 6:38 if you give you will receive. Your gift and support will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, because men will give what you need, for what measure you give-whether large or small will be used to measure what is given back to you.
