Michael Baisden is making another go at television -- this time in a more relaxed setting.
The popular nationally syndicated radio personality and best-selling author is hosting, 'Baisden After Dark,' premiering Oct . 7 at 10 p.m. (ET) on TV One.
The weekly talk/variety series is targeted at the "grown and sexy" audience and will explore a wide range of provocative topics interspersed with celebrity guests and a roundtable discussion on one hot topic.
Joining Baisden, the self-described 'Bad Boy of Radio,' for the show will be R&B veteran Morris Day serving as bandleader, and comedian George Wilburn.
The 44-year-old Chicago native previously hosted the short-lived talk show 'Talk or Walk,' which was distributed by Tribune Entertainment.
The premiere episode will feature a discussion with relationship expert Dr. Michelle Callahan and the topic is "Are men doing their job in the bedroom?" Broadway bound R&B crooner Brian McKnight is musical guest.
Throughout the first 13-episode season of 'After Dark,' guests will include Sheryl Lee Ralph, Angie Stone, Angela Burt-Murray, Musiq Soulchild, Bill Bellamy, Howard Hewett, Tank, Betty Wright, Johnny Gill and Karrine Steffans.
Additional airings off the show will be Sunday nights at 1AM, Mondays at 10PM & 1AM, and Saturdays at 11PM (all times ET).

I am loving the Michael Baisden talk show - I have a long commute home from Mia and have cut back on my cell phone use since he came on the air in Jan - Nuff thanks for that. My only 2 issues are 1. Too little time for discussions (always cutting folks off) & 2. George W. doesn't compliment him nor the show...why is he there? Anyhow, much luck and success to you Mikie B.

I like his show, and only God can judge him and all of us. I love God and I am very spiritual. I dont put titles on myself.but.. I know who I worship and pray to is God the almighty! with out God, and faith I would not be as blessed as I am with my soon to be published poetry book. be blessed to all!

I have recently become a regular viewer of the Michael Baisden show and I must say that it is one of the most informative and enlightening late night sessions on television. Thank you for being there with today's issues in our black community!

I enjoy the show. Michael and George hosted a hand dance and Chicago-style steppin' competition in Washington, DC a year or so ago. I hope they both are able to attend United2Dance in October.

I have been listening to a lot of program forums that discuss fathers becoming more involved in their childrens lives and that is a beautiful thing, but, a lot of black men are using their "parenthood" to disrespect the validity of female adults they meet/know. That is your child and you need to do what you need to do, but because I am not your child's mother, 1. You do not have the right to talk "down" to me, in the name of the child. 2. I do not need or want to know what "the baby's mama" "wants", I am my own woman with my own dreams, goals, choices and decisions, I do not have a problem communicating with any child, IF your baby's mama can recognize and respet that I am a woman just like she is, but more importantly, I need YOU to recognize that. 3. You need to give me the choice about what I am going to/am willing to sacrifice without you telling me what I need to "put up with"/"tolerate" or "sacrifice" because you and "baby's mama" have made "your" decisions about your child, while by the way, she has been living with her man, doing what they want to do and telling you what you need to do in your relationships. It is fine for the two of you to agree on how you want to raise your child, but you need to remember, I was grown when I met you and I will never need your baby's mama's ideas to conduct My life. I heard a guy on a show say that he kicked a woman out of his house and down the stairs because she said he was spending too much time with his child, I felt like, this has got to be an ignorant man, because if he was "for real" about the people in his life, this issue should never come up, he would already "know" how to spend time with all the people in his life that he values.

I just discovered your show recently while flipping through channels. When I noticed Morris Day conducting the house band I had to keep watching. But im very dissapointed that you dont display Morris 's talent like you should be. I like to see a segment on Morris with him singing and dancing. This guy is too great for you to just make him a side-kick. Me and my boyfriend feel the same way. We actually have had the pleasure of seeing Morris Day and The Time recently in concert and the man puts on the greatest show. I think if you give him more time to display his talent the show would get better ratings. I would appreciate it if you would take my opinion seriously and other viewers that watch might enjoy watching the show more. Thanks, DeAnna Benavidez
